    So just popped the cap off this thing it’s honestly like brain surgery in there I’m gonna have to take it in .. I don’t trust myself with this kinda project but did find this to be cracked when I pulled the top off . Not sure what it is?? Maybe why it smoked badly before

    I talked with r&d idi briefly he told me I had to remove the top of the pump it’s an o ring , iv never done this before but I am mechanically inclines and will give it a shot . No I don’t necessarily need the truck right now but it would be nice , I bought it to go to the mountains with my kids...

    So I changed the ip and the smoke went away now I’m dealing with the throttle rod leaking in the new pump but runs way better . Still won’t start after sitting for a day still think I got air intrusion somewhere . It’s weird I don’t know where else sir could be coming in at !.. changed return...

    6.9 injection pump leak

    so fixed my truck no more smoking works great !.. pump is a reman and was in the bed when I bought it obviously used. Switched pumps and truck runs well but the accelerator rod is leaking ? Can this be fixed ? Anyone got the rundown on how to do this . Any help is appreciated this pic is the old...

    Yes white smoke when cranking as well!... and I bought them from Pensacola diesel they are just stock reman injectors. It smoked very bad and wouldn’t start same issues so started with injectors , return lines and still same exact symptoms .

    And it’s weird the ip in the truck looks dirty like it hasent been changed and the reman in the back is dirty as well

    Thank you! Yeah I’m not sure I’m really stumped I don’t know diesels at all but would love to learn from all you on here , I can fix any gasser but never touched a diesel

    So need HELP!! 1986 6.9 .. replaced glow plugs, injectors, return lines, electric fuel pump, fuel lines, if I give it a huff of starting fluid it will pop off then die off. Give it one more huff it will start right up and stay running but produces lots of white smoke as long as it runs!.. leave...

    No power to IP or glowplugs

    I’m having the same problem but my relay clicks and have power out of the relay at 12 volts but no glow plugs or wait to start light. My ignition tumble is bad tho, to the point I have to lift up on my steering wheel when I turn the key for it to crank, so maybe that is suspect .
