    Possible torque converter?

My 99 F350 had the torque converter go out and it would drive but you could not stop without taking it out of gear. I was fortunate enough to have an external remote filter that caught the debris before it got back into the pan but it was not before the heat exchanger. I ended up getting another...

Diesel fuel in the radiator Help!

That would be my first guess. I've heard of this happening before.

    Cab sound insulation

Duke, look http://cw-diesel.com/dbwsoundproof.htm and see what I did to my F-350. It did make a difference. I have not check into the latest materials that B-Quiet offers, but the brown bread did work quite well, especially considering the cost. Most of the spray on stuff was much more, at least...

    Injector washer

From what I understand, it stayed in the bore when the injector was removed so I would say it's stuck in the seat....

    Injector washer

    Starter problems

I also agree with the silt/finedust being the culprit. I have a 99 with 153K and no starter problems. You might want to check the batteries as weak batteries can also fry a starter......

    Tranny Temps

FYI, I lifted this from another site: "Tru-Cool" self regulating coolers - Thick or thin, it's the oil that regulates the cooler. That's the principle behind the revolutionary new TRU-COOL SR series of self regulating transmission oil coolers. Thicker oil that is below the ideal operating...

    Won't start 00'F-250

Wish I'd seen this sooner. I went though that almost identical thing a couple of years ago. One bad battery will often suck the power from the other battery. BTW, the voltage should be a little higher that mid 12s. Oh well, guess i need to check in more oftern. :D

    Tranny life

Original tranny with 150K, BUT had to replace the TC at 134K. Seems it kinda 'went to pieces', literally. Trans mods are only the sonnex and tricumulator, as to the engine, I have run propane for a while, and also modified injectors, probably arount 350HP. Stock converter was the "marbles...

    Synthetic lube..........

hehe, let me know or give me a call. PM me at the other place and I'll be glad to discuss it with you. BTW, not only do I like synthetics in car/trucks, I ran them in my Superstar airplane. I don't experiment with $40,000 engines...:D

    Synthetic lube..........

I too run Amsoil and also have 'dealer' status for the same reason mentioned above...... I know several people in the Great White North, that now have less problems with cold weather now that they are running Amsoil Synthetic. I've been running it for a couple of years, and been very...

    Trannies??

Out of the numerous people that I know with the BTS, the general feeling is just like Dockboy said. IMO, BTS is the way to go.

    Hard starting when cold

I went to Deka and have been very happy with them. IMO, unless Interstate has improved their quality control, they are way over priced. Optima are also overpriced, as is Motorcraft. I would look for a battery with mega cranking amps, and just figure on replacing them every two or three years...
