    Turbo intake part?

I've searched the web high and low the past couple of days and hopefully I'm just an idiot and this is a simple answer.. I have a 7.3idi with the turbo and I need the rubber part between the air box and the turbocharger. I dont know if it's called a hose, boot, whatever, but I can't find one...

    1993 7.3IDI Turbo

Its time for me to move on from my IDI and into something more...family oriented, so here is my 1993 F250 with a ?factory? turbocharged 7.3IDI. Its definitely no beauty queen after 194,000 miles but it runs like the day it was built, has a completely rebuilt front end with fully functional 4x4...

Shouldn't the filter be under pressure?

Oh I know I got the arm in the right spot. It was a pain... guess it's time to find another lift pump. Just changed filter a week ago also.

Shouldn't the filter be under pressure?

Hello all. Fix one problem and find another.. Lately my truck has been acting like it has been getting air in the system and I think I know where it is, but I pressed the Schrader valve in on the filter housing while it was running the other day and it sucked air in then the engine died...

    Hard Start after Everything...

Looks like the o ring on the back of the pump was leaking. I didn't notice any diesel around it but I tightened it and it works now! Now to fix everything else on my list for this poor thing....

    Hard Start after Everything...

Will do! I've already fixed the fuel heater o-ring once, but it could be leaking again. Any other ideas if I dont find a leak here?

    Hard Start after Everything...

Yeah I figured that about the plugs but I know they still help a little. I'll look for fuel leaks. I just went through the housing and replaced o-rings and all that not too long ago so knowing my luck I might have something sleeping still.

    Hard Start after Everything...

It's about 90 degrees out today and still not working good. On another note it does puff out grey smoke when it does finally kick over

    Hard Start after Everything...

Ok, so I thought that I had it fixed. I was wrong. With the new cable it turns over A LOT better, but it still takes a bit to start. I'm thinking maybe glow plug controller?

    Hard Start after Everything...

Replaced the positive cable after searching for a place that had one and it starts better than it ever has since I've had it! Thanks guys!

    Hard Start after Everything...

I havent noticed. Seems like its cranking normally but I didn't even think of that. That could be it! It does have a worn out cable

    Hard Start after Everything...

Hello all. I've replaced return lines, all the glow plugs, pretty much anything fuel related from filter housing back to tank, including lift pump, and it still takes at least two 5-10 second crank tries to get started...it acts like it's still losing prime somewhere but like I said, I've...

    Is it worth a restoration?

I'm not sure how well it's been taken care of..like I said it was my bosses feed truck and he isnt the easiest on vehicles...(envision driving through a rough pasture at 50mph chasing a lost cow with random fencing parts flying off the back of the bed.) However, it does run good. Has a little...

    Is it worth a restoration?

Haha exactly... it's a 5 speed and shifts great. I may just try to find a replacement cab for it and call it good for now.

    Is it worth a restoration?

I'm also afraid to spend much money on it since the engine and drivetrain have 194k on them already

    Is it worth a restoration?

This is exactly the conundrum I'm having! I love having it the way it is so I dont have to worry about beating it up, but I would also like to fix it up for some odd reason.

    Is it worth a restoration?

Hello all! First post here so bear with the newbiness... I bought a 93 f250 with the 7.3 factory turbo from my boss a few years back for a measly $500..got it running again...added a rusty old flatbed for another $500...did some front end work for about $200...replaced glow plugs and return...
