    Ok, great. 3.55s sound good. Are there any links to ID which diffe I have? Both are single axle. I was going to build the 91, it's a F250 extend 4wd 7.3IDI with ZF5 that needs head gaskets but I think it'll be a parts truck.

    I just picked up a 93 F350 4dr longbed 4wd with a 7.3 IDI with a bad yoke on the rear diff. I dont have tools to change the yoke but I have a rear from a 91 F250 IDI. My Google-Fu is weak and cant find information on what rears were in these trucks. Good swap or get a boneyard F350 rear? And...

    Unfortunately I didnt get a chance to look at the truck last night. Going to try again tonight after work. Figured the first thing I'd do is check the tank levels then Schrader valve. I'm not going bleed his injector lines for him. If I get it running the price might go up...lol Does anyone...

    That's interesting on the glow plugs. Most of my experience was with 6.2 Chevy and it started with a bit of plugs unless I plugged it in. The 91 7.3 is my first Ford. So if it's getting fuel check the relay? I'm hoping its something stupid simple. The trucks at a great price, sight unseen...

    I'm going to look at it after work. He said it cranks but won't start and stopped putting money into it after the fuel pump. I might get a can of silicone and see if she'll run spraying that in the intake. I'll need an automatic for about a year after shoulder surgery then I can get back in...

    I'm going to looking at a 91 F350 that's not getting fuel to the motor. Seller says he replaced the hi/lo pressure fuel pump and glow plugs. He says it cranks but won't run. First thing I thought was fuel filter and pick up tubes in the tanks. Any other suggestions?

    That's good to know. Mine is cracked but they reinforced the cracks with angle steel. If that was the only issue I could work with it, but the lower loop is cracked and where the inner fender bolts on is shot also.

    Has anyone used a core support from eBay for a 7.3IDI? The pix don't look like they have the deep drop for the tall radiator but the listing says only to be used with 16"x36" radiators. Or should I just pay the extra and get it from LMC Truck?

    Do you have a link to the write up? I would've thought you'd just connect the lines coming from the tank pickups. But this is my 1st time messing with dual tanks. My truck has a 5sp so outside the radio I want to get rid of a much electronics a possible.

    Speaking of glow plugs, I read somewhere to only use Autolite or Motorcraft because the tips swell. Is this true or are there other brands that don't suck?

    I'm probably going to pull the front clip on the part truck this weekend, which has a 5.8 gasser. It sure would've been easier to just swap the whole clips. But improvise, adapt and overcome. I'm planning to change the interior in the diesel to almost anything but the awful late 80s early 90s...

    I learned something last night. The guy i bought a gasser parts truck from said 7.3 IDI will not start even with ether if it's low on oil. I just checked and sure enough, low on oil. So wish me luck I'm off to get oil. If you don't hear back from me in 24hrs send a heavily armed search party...

    Ok that makes sense. My truck has an aftermarket aluminum radiator ANF I thought if it was just the bolt pattern for rad I could drill new ones. My support is cracked and they braced it with angle steel. Are the repops any good. Gasser is an 89. Diesel is a 91
