    I noticed that when I was trying to flush the system 2 weeks ago, it took a lot to get the thermostat to open. And that was without the fan installed.

    I also pressure tested the coolant system after installing the freeze plug behind the flex plate, before putting the tranny back in. System held 15psi no problem. Either way, picking up a hoist this weekend and I'll start planning for the inevitable, but going to stretch it out for a bit.

    Not rusted .just blown out. Previous owner lost water pump. Took it all apart in a super sloped driveway and never drained the block. Let it sit for 2 years that way and it popped one In the bell housing.

    I plan on pulling and more than likely doing a rebuild on the motor this summer. So if I can buy some time that would be good. Not working the truck hard by any means so I'm going to put a 7 psi cap on and see if I can use it for a bit while I get everything together.

    Considered running a zero psi sytem with Evans coolant. Will more than likely do that when I do a full rebuild. It didn't start leaking until yesterday, was moving it to the shop to work on fuel system(gauge not working). Never got up to temp.

For shits and giggles I'm going to try this weekend to see if I can take a motor mount loose and get a decent angle at it. If so...
