    86 IDI w/ C6 - Trans Dipstick w/ Tube help... please...

    The company is giving me a hard time, so I need to look at other options. I found two dipstick/tube combos, both with locking dipsticks. However, the are for C6 trans with small blocks and big blocks. The one of the left is big block, the one on the right is small block.

    Glow plug too close to turbo?

    I'm using the harness and did the same thing. It is just a hair too short! Once you pop the outer housing off, it fits right as rain. Also, the wire will not melt being that close to the turbo. If you are a little worried, a bit of insulation will do the trick as others have stated.

    Easy Leaf spring bushing replacement

    Drive a wedge/chisel between the body of the spring and the portion that rolls over. After driving in the chisel, you can hammer out the bushing very easily (unless it's rust welded in, then a little persuasion is required.

    Slant nose glow plug upgrade!

    @91idi Did you ever snap any pictures of this? I just upgraded the controller on my 6.9idi. Glow plugs are working, but the WTS is not.
