    I do have a pyrometer. This was my work truck so I used to tow a 15,000 pound loaded wood trailer with it and on long hills at 55mph, my typical highway speed, I only ever got as high as 750 degrees F.     Third brake light / cargo lamp

    I have a 1991 F250. What I cannot figure out is there is a light where the third brake light would be. I have owned a few of these and I have been told this is a cargo light but I cannot figure out how to turn it on.

    Charging issues

    Yes I have replaced it. As a matter of fact that is where I jump power to the field wire. I also forgot to mention that the battery light never comes on not even when I initially turn the key on, yah know when all the lights should come on.

    My 1991 f250 7.3 idi and the issue is that my truck won’t charge unless I jump power to the field wire. After that it charges fine. I do have a broken ground cable and I have replaced my entire charging system.

    Hey everyone I have a 1991 F250 7.3 idi and the charging system has been nothing but trouble since day one. I want to swap it to an internally regulated 3g alternator. I just need to know what alternator to buy and what I need to change/splice to make it work.
