i found this in my boss's warehouse.
he said i could have it.
now can someone tell me if this is the P.T.O. attachment for my tranny?
if it is, any other information concerning installation and use would be much appreciated.
yes, i know. thank you for responding. <--genuine not sarcastic.
One of the po's of the truck, cut off the cord. which wasn't a problem living in SoCal. however now i live in upper MI. my fear is it may have been cut because it was malfunctioning or shorting out.
So i'd just like to...
i haven't been around here much. but i came across this http://www.herald-review.com/articles/2007/03/01/news/local_news/1021491.txt.it doesn't say how they got caught. i'm guessing somebody was jealous and turned them in.
i like the idea of wrapping the fuel filter with heater hose. although it might create rubbing issues. i wonder how feasable it would be to zip tie heater hose to the fuel line, down the entire length. you might even be able to wrap it with household pipe insulation, to protect the line.
i know we have people who have problems with the firewall flexing at the clutch.
i just went to engage my parking brake and the whole assemble fell onto the floor. WTF!
closer inspection showed that the two bolts holding the parking brake to the firewall came right through the...
i don't think there is one.
i also installed a fuel filter before the pump. put in ball valves, to make fuel filter changes easier.
also put in a toggle switch, that's my anti-theft system. in case someone wants to steal my 22 year old truck. :rotflmao
one other reason to have an...
what year truck? which manual tranny? somebody will chime in soon. first they'll probably want to know that info. then they'll ask if you have a firewall reinforcement kit installed.
well i poked around the firefox help site. they recommended clearing cache and cookies. ;Sweet looks like it worked. don't know why.
thanks for your time.
.
yeap, smilies are on.
i wonder if it has something to do with my firefox browser. i think it recently updated itself.
when i click on a smilie the page resets itself back to top. doesn't affect anything i've typed.
i'll go to the firefox website and dig around a little. because it...
yes, i can see everbody elses.
i think it must be my fault. i posted on a different site after posting here earlier.
i couldn't get the smilies on that site to work either.
funny thing is, if i make the : ( without the space between the : and the ( i get :(. which seems appropiate to...
can sombody tell me why i can't add any smilies into my posts anymore?
have i been abusing my smilies?
have my smilie privileges been revoked?
don't think i won't go old school on you guys. : (
the disable smilies option has no effect.
not much you can do but follow there suggestions. without a bad mech. fuel pump how else can you get fuel into the oil? do you idle it for long periods?
i'll just repeat what Exekiel69 said, clogged radiator.
by any chance have you replaced the heater core recently. my truck blew two heater cores before i noticed the radiator was clogged.
i came across this site. just thought i'd throw it out here.
http://www.frankhunt.com/FRANK/corvette/articles/oilfilterstudy/oilfilterstudy.html
i guess this probable isn't important info since everyone here agrees on which filter is the best :rotflmao .
i went from 4.11 to 3.73. made the truck much more enjoyable to drive. of coarse i rarely tow anything. unfortunately it also threw off my speedo. i think  by 13%.
oil leak sounds like the oil cooler. there are o-rings inside the two cast heads you described. the pipe as you descrbed it pulls out from the cast heads. you'll get differing opinions on the diffuculty of replacing the o-rings. i had good luck and had an easy time of it. only needed to...
i wish they were trying to give the truck away. they don't even seem interested in selling it. of corase that might have to do with my white-trash-hillbilly look :backoff . i have checked the local dealer inventories. there just aren't any of these trucks around to try to play dealers against...
