    Jumping the fender solenoid starts it fine. It only has 3v at the trigger wire at the fender solenoid when key is turned to crank

    Ok so if the shaft won't compress during driving then I need to go by exact measurement from yoke to yoke while the truck sits on level ground. Correct?

    Well now I am wondering if my t444e has AC injectors which are single shots. From research, t444e is either AC or AD so maybe that's part of the prob? I'm gonna pull the valve covers this weekend and verify which one I have.

    I was just think about something. What is the best way to check for a boost leak? Ever since I got this engine it has felt a bit anemic and I thought it was due to the tune for the SD injectors. Maybe it's part of the black smoke issue like you said.

    I swapped everything from my old motor including injector harnesses. I also have a tune from JeliBuilt to run the different injectors. Also the truck didn't smoke at all before the mech flipped the engine to change the oil pan sealant.

    Ok, blew my engine, replaced it with a bus engine with 100k miles. I put it in and it ran great except I got oil on the ta-31 oil pan sealant before it setup so it leaked. I had a mechanic pull the engine and flip it so the ta-31 sealant would setup properly. Now the truck blows black...

    So I got the engine put in and then had to have it pulled back out as the ta-31 sealant got oil in it and leaked terribly. So now, since the motor got pulled and flipped to PROPERLY apply the sealant the truck blows black smoke like it never had before. It's smokes like a teenagers truck...

    Thanks. My motor is a 2001 t444e so it should have split shot injectors. I am going to have a tune written for this but wanted to make sure all of the hard parts were transferred over.
