It was about a two day project. I had to cut and weld most mounts because the front seat mounts where wider then the stock ones. I think im going to bring the drivers seat down another half inch when I take it apart to fix the cloth. The back seats I had to build some L brackets that I welded...
can it be done maybe. Would i do it? No way. I had swapped a 302 and 351 into my bronco II back when it was still a bronco II. The 351 is a little wider and you run into issues with steering, from the steering wheel to the steering box. Then you have the weight of the thing. The 2.9 is...
thanks this is perfect. i noticed that some power goes through the blinker relay and i put an led one in there and that might be messing with it. When i get home i will have to check it out. Thanks again!
I decided to put in my 86 f350 a 97 cummins 12v. I got a nv4500 to go behind it. I bought some pre made motor mounts which i wasnt impressed with sense i had to notch out a piece of them to clear my power steering pump line that runs up to my hydro boost. I also had to notch out a chunk of...
I just got done doing my cummins swap into my 86 f350. I got everything working but the cruise control. It worked before the swap. I swapped over the vacuum dump switch. I adjusted it in all the way in so you cant really see the white part. I did have to put a new speed sensor in and had to...
I been swapping in a 97 cummins into my ford f350 and when i had the engine out i ground the fuel plate and increased the governor springs 2 clicks. I set the timing to 14 degrees i though. I didn't check the rocker arms when doing it but i did check the pin on the side of the pump along with...
thanks for the tips. I was able to get it to act like a normal clutch by feel but haven't started the truck yet so we will see. I took the slave off and pointed it strait down and pushed it in all the way by hand and released. Did it several times and it seemed to have done the trick. Thanks...
activate the slave by hand? I pushed it in and out a couple times when i pulled it back out. I pulled the line off the slave and pumped the clutch till i got a decent amount of fluid each time i pressed it.
OK so i have an odd one. Im doing a cummins conversion and i have a nv4500. I put in the ford clutch pedals and brand new master cylinder with a nice steel braided line down to the old nv4500 slave cylinder. I have been pushing on the pedal with my hand sense there is little to no resistance...
So i went to set my timing and the damn delivery valve stripped on me. I need to order a new one so i can get everything back together and swapped into my f350. I have found one on ebay for a decent price but need to know its the correct size. This motor had the Auto behind it if that makes...
I have the problem that i want to put in a electric speedometer sense my divorced 205 is so far away from the gauge its going to need a custom speedometer cable. I was thinking of using a conversion sensor but havent found one yet. But then i was thinking i could just use the ford cruise...
will do. Got to get the 4x4 sold first and find a nv4500 because im not dealing with another auto in a tow rig! plan on kicking the power up to about 800 tq at the motor and around 600 and the rear wheels.
