Alternator, Vacuum Pump, and mysterious levitation

Pulled the whole shooting match out which was easy. Remove fuel lines and wires and it just fell off. Pulled the vacuum pump and low and behold the mounting bolt hole is revealed with no bolt in it. The other one had vibrated loose it looks like. I'm just a bit baffled that the previous owner...

    No oil pressure

On a limb but I saw this happen with a 6.9 that blew out one of the piston cooling nozzles. Granted that was on an early block with the pressed in nozzle but just tossing it out there.

Make sure the hoses are all well attached and not split at the ends. May just be my luck but I've had two different trucks wind up with splits that caused a leak.

    Oil Consumption Debacle

Ran Delo in a fleet of 3208 Cats and NTC Cummins and never had an oil related failure. It was a red color back then, oddly enough.

Read up on steering geometry, death wobble, and give the FAQ's and tech forum a look before you go look at it. Watch a few videos on death wobble to see what a bad setup can do and just how quick it can get out of hand.

    Let's talk radios

Pioneer that I've had kicking about since my 1995 Neon that will not die. I have another with all the fancy features that I'll "get around" to installing one of these days but I'd need new speakers. No muffler, big pipe and a turbo to quiet things down it's rather loud in there.

    Finally tore into the dually

Agreed. I started checking valve springs routinely after I had a batch of Type III VW engine rebuilds come up with valve problems due to bad springs.
