    Interesting Point!! Pulling the cable to lower always turns the pump on - wonder what it would do with out the pump kicking on? You guys confirmed my thoughts - I'll pull that valve apart first and see what I can find! ;Sweet

    The valve was the only thing that makes sense to me. One person said the ram might be hanging up on something - since it only happens at full extension.

    It has the serpentine belt. Thanks to The Warden I actually read the sticker on valve cover, it has basically a chart on it showing both the A166 and the A185 with ( ) next to the engine type in the top column. Mine had a hole punched in the ( ) next to the A185. So I'm going with the 185 Hp...

    It's a power down unit so it has to pump the fluid the opposite way through the cylinder.
