Any Fire Truck Converters out there? Pulling the big PUMP!
Hi All, I've been "playing" with a '98 HME 4x4 Pumper with a Cummins M11 Plus 450 hp Celect engine and an Allison HT4050P. Satx78247 - I've spent a fair amount of time on Zarzamora St. working on a Ford/Grumman Step Van with a 390 gasser back in the day. People were very nice there and the Pozole was cheap and good!- 56 Ford COE

IDIot - what issues have you seen putting a Banks Turbo into a 7.3 IDI? I always worry about the bottom end not being strong enough, etc... Any mods necessary to keep it bulletproof before I put the Sidewinder kit on it? The Banks Turbo will go in the white 91 Ford 4x4 Ambulance soon. Thanks!- 56 Ford COE

Cool. I'm looking to attach a pic of the rig in it's original found condition. Can newbies attach pics here? That Ford is a conventional cab and has a nose. Mine is a "snubnose" and taller. Excellent! Good to know all this stuff. I'm sure it's old school. Mine is an official Detroit Remanufactured unit, using all genuine Detroit parts, or so they say on the label. I don't see glow plugs like I've seen on my old 6.2L Chevy V8, I don't see injectors either, but I see fuel lines...- 56 Ford COE
