I should probably back off from this (at 300 WHP for the last two years or so) but I have a bad habit of doing at least 2 WOT pulls every time I drive my truck (so WOT once every 10 miles or so). I have only run less than 500 gallons total of WMO/ gas blend Through my truck, but she has never...
I’ve run approx 450 gallons of WMO/ gas blend in my ‘92 12V. In the coldest winter months I ran 75% WMO TO 25% gas. I usually added 4-5 gallons of D2 to that to make a tankfull.
In the summer I’d sometimes only run W80. A factor that I believe is important to keep coking at bay is at least 1 WOT...
Waste oils burn much slower and need more time/ help with ignition than no. 2. Advancing timing to a degree will help burn oil much cleaner and more efficiently.
Notice how much quieter it is on WMO? Thats because the combustion event is retarded from insufficient time.
I dont mean to speak...
For a long time the "official record" of highest verified rwhp from a 12mm VE was the moderator on 1stgen.org. He dynoed 489 rwhp in his '93.
Eric at The Hungry Diesel broke a barrier with the 12mm VE a few months ago. Dynoed 643 rwhp with his VE 12v powered ramcharger.
I contacted the NC Dep. of Rev today to inquire exactly what was needed to #legally# run waste petroleum oil. In NC, a blenders license is required. You can't just fill out the 1260 form and pay tax on the fuel.
The GAS-1262 form is what the lady I spoke with said I needed to fill out (pages...
Thanks for the replies y'all. I have everything I need to start running WMO, but I want to pay road tax on it.
I printed off the GAS-1260 form (the form where you pay tax on the X gallons of untaxed fuel used), but I don't want to fill it out and send it in if I have to have a blenders license...
I may get a dead thread revival ticket, but I am very intrigued to know if the majority of state laws regarding running waste motor oils have remained the same or have been altered for better or worse?
I have a big question; can you pay road tax on dyed fuel and be legal? I only ask this...
Nice relocation! My buddy at work has his own concreted shop and he said if I wanted I could bring everything to his place and we can set up the oil there. That would work great because he gets oil from tractor services and the oil source would be known. What do you think about a 50/50 d2/oil...
How does power feel compared to D2? Some people say it becomes a turd yet others say it's stronger?
At what point do you think the amount of electricity used to run the fuge starts to eat a lot of the money saved by running oil?
This looks like a solid simple setup, how many passes do you run? What do you blend with to thin the oil?
I've been putting off running oil for a long time. I have the 65 gph centrifuge setup from PA W/ 1/3 hp motor, gear pump and basic hoses, fittings and valves. Id much rather blend than...
