I have a a obs psd clamp and that didn't work and 3 inch will fit no problem with a manual transmission and a factory turbo I basically built mine ready to go until that damn v band was the wrong size
No the marmon clamp is is wider by a lot the v band I got wouldnt even come close to clamping on it. I'm off the John deere today I will report back what I find. But I think I will be buying the banks down pipe instead of trying to make my own
I have a 94 factory turbo vin K that i have swapped into my 1988 f250, im looking for the marmon clamp for the turbo elbow to buy new, it doesnt seem that anyone has them. I already made the mistake of buying a 2.5 v-band flange and clamp kit, welding on the flange to a piece of pipe and tried...
The truck originally had the banks turbo kit on it from the dealership the pre-sidewinder if you will I bought a 94 factory turbo motor that was complete turbo to oil pan and fan to flywheel. I'm taking a picture now I'm not sure which it is stand by
I understand that you guys aren't trying to beat me up And that's not what I meant by that but the cavitation would have already preseted it's self by now with the cylinder wall wear being almost .020 over if it gets bored .020 over than it will just be re rounded at .020
I have read everywhere not to bore the motor out but I don't have a choice unless anyone on here would like to donate there credit card to me I can't do sleeves I'm already spending over 2 grand on everything and need to get my truck running and get back to work mahle seller .020 all the way to...
I used an inside micrometer than a caliper to measure at bottom middle and top (just before the ridge) @90° and @180°. Now what is the ration between thousands off a piston to compression ratio
well yea the stock pistons are stock and the block will be .030 over. my plans are to just drive my truck tow a few things and have the pump turned up just a bit nothing crazy if the lower compressions ones are near the same money and they were better and i could run more boost they i would get...
Hey yall im rebuilding a 94 idit engine, i am punching the motor .030 over and need a few things answered about pistons. I can get stock Mahle turbo pistons for 500 ish, while on Mahle's website they offered reduced compression pistons. Does anyone have any experience with them and how much...
Ok well how do I re balance the motor I should be able to with a bit of machine work and a new flywheel plus the motor has a flexo late and torque converter and I'm going to have to put a clutch in my truck is 5 speed
Yea I have all of that I actually work at a shop I'm ther service manager and have always wanted to do a project like this I will have every and any tools nessisary I'm going to start to weld up a motor stand we don't have a big enough one here to hold the motor but yes organization is going to...
Now if I have to replace a piston can I replace one or do I have to do all of them. And what's the best way to check for blow by to see if I should do rings
My boss told me about yall he had an idi and convinced me to get one. I just need the correct guidance but I will start tear down tonight hopefully if not tomorrow and I will send all the pictures
