    it is easier to pull the stop away to lengthen the adjuster. it is spring loaded and does not hurt it a bit. I just held it away from the star with one hand and screwed the star out with the other.

    yeah the drums were replaced about 1,000 miles ago there was no lip on the drums. I pulled the stop away from the star adjuster and screwed the threads outward spreading the shoes. It really did not sound like shoes were rubbing on the drums but the driveshaft was making noise too so it was hard...

    Yeah both tires are moving the same direction when I turn one wheel when both off the ground so I guess it is posi. I thought the driveline would not turn if both transfer case and transmission were in neutral

    I just have a hard time telling if I am turning the star adjuster or slipping off it with the brake tool in the backing plate however they did replace the drums or at least charged me for new ones. I like to see whether the star is getting longer or shorter with most cars some will go both ways...

    Thanks Jasper. Right after the brake job the park brake pedal went down almost to the floor but did hold but now it will not hold enough to trust it and the foot pedal for the park brake goes all the way to the floor. Only been about 1,000 miles since brake job.
