Complete electrical failure
Congrats (Oilburners forum working well) on a solved problem, Poorman. My '93 7.3 IDIT wouldn't start (turned ignition & nothing) one day about 50 mi. from home...popped the hood & looked around - noticed the cable from the pos. battery clamp to the solenoid had broken at the solenoid...- smokerd

Thanks...good forum here. Now I'll stop worrying about my 'dummy gauge' centerting on the 'O' in normal and just pull the dipstick every few mornings. '93 7.3 IDIT still ticking along at 394K.- smokerd

Trailer towing q's
I tow a heavy 34 ft 5th wheel south & north over Siskiyou pass with my '93 F250 7.3 IDIT 5 speed. On the steepest grade, I'm down to 2nd sometimes. doing about 2500-2800 rpm. Thing is, it feels like it'd do it all day & we're not in a hurry. On a hot day, it'll sometimes need to stop & cool...- smokerd
