Pulled the head today blown head gasket and a broken head bolt idk new parts on order really simple motor to work on it love it head came off real easy

Well if it is a head gasket I have no problem with that but I don't want to pull a head and find out afterwards it's was something simple like a thermostat

I have not had to adjust the timeing on my injector pump since installing my electric lift pump. It runs exactly the same as before.

I have a facet dura lift pump on my f350 and I love it . It is a lot more expensive than a mechanical one but it's worth it. Part number on mine is fac-40290 . Look up pegasus auto on the Internet that where I found mine.

The pistons are mahle I do not know about size yet. It does not appear that the block was sleeved as far as I can tell.

It doesn't seem to me it was ground off i'dk why someone would do that I take some better picture tomorrow and clean it up more . I'm not expert but I have two other idi,s and they both have a number stamped here.

I have a 7.3 out of a 88 f super duty. I pulled this engine out out of my truck and few months back. I have been slowly pulling it apart . The engine is shot i lost bearings on the bottom end but today I noticed something I never looked at before. Next to to the injector pump in the block...
I been thinking about ditching the water separator and upgrade it to the 7.3 . As for the tank selector should I deleat it or buy a new one. I have read about people deleting them altogether.

It been awhile since I posted on here about this but I'm still have problems. I read alot on here about fuel issues. Here is what I have done so far. I ditched the fuel pump for a facet electric pump. Replace fuel hose to the pump and from pump to fuel filter . New return line kit and o rings...
I guess my thinking was is fuel can get out air can get in . However I would think it would give me hard starts like you said.
