    Right finally got back on it today, put my digital volt meter on the battery and the volts are going 13v to 16v up and down, faster you rev the motor the faster it fluctuates, the PO seems to have picked up a key live from the grid heater relay, this is a bad connection i need to sort

    Well looks like some PO has installed an after market euro regulator to the inner fender, earth was bad on this plus it was rattling loose on the screws, cleaned the earth and fastened the reg to the body and my truck is not 14.8v :) still has a slight pulsing thing though but at least it's...

    According to the vin decoders it's 1992 but according to the door jamb plate it 11-91 c not sure what the c is for No regulator on the firewall so i'm guessing it's in the computer, I'll see if I can find an external regulator tomorrow, parts not easy to find over here
