    Lol going thur the same here.. had two broken springs one on each side an a stuck drum :( ended up looking up on Google an typed in 1997 ford f350 drum brakes.. got a few different pics.. an saved onto my phone.both of mine were the long skinny springs they go from shoe to shoe below the axle

    i use the factory pads an shoes.. I think that the lifetime pads an shoes are to hard an wear out your rotors an drums.. yes or no ?

    check for shorts.. but also look at the blubs.. I had one that the filament came apart an shorted inside the blub blinkers problems brake lights turned on blinkers etc.

    I use to get a copper washer with a rubber insert from autozone.. never had a problem used on one side then flip an then a new gasket
