Aliens have taken over my wiring 6.9 lighting issues
Finally got back to the beast yesterday. Looked at the fuse panel and it was a bit of a horror story. I don't think I've touched it in the 12 years I've owned the truck. Every single fuse came apart as I tried to remove them to inspect. They looked like they had break cleaner spayed on them...- troutski

Hi there, 84 6.9 extended cab. Parked the truck a week or so ago, Started yesterday, and noticed at the beginning of the drive, the turn signals were not working in the dash. Got home, and no brake lights, turn signals etc. However, when I use the turn signal, the front marker lights blink...- troutski

HI there hive mind, Finally have fabbed up a new trans tunnel cover after the addition of a Ranger Torque splitter. The donor tunnel has some kind of asphalt soft schmoo around the perimeter., What is the go to substitute? I assume the original stuff causes cancer in baby seals. This is the...- troutski

FSV solutions? (Fuel selector valve) 84 6.9
The fuel system retrofit of the 84 XLT has hit a bit of a snag. I am unsure how to mount the new Standard Products FV5. The body of the thing has a weird angle at the mounting plate, and seems to extend far lower and hits the frame rail. How have others worked around this, or is there better...- troutski

fuel tank replacement Do I need some rub relief?
Thanks for that info. One difference that brought up the question is that the rear tank I took out was supported by the seam in the steel. The new poly tank sits right on the skid plate. Could be time for some wood to support it and snug it down, Mark- troutski

fuel tank replacement Do I need some rub relief?
Hi there, replacing both tanks on an '84 F-250 Went with new poly tanks from TRex. Old set up had some kind of canvas like material at the rub points. It that necessary to replace? If so, what material would one use that will hold up and not rot? Thanks. Mark- troutski

Hi there Internet of Diesels, The patient is an 84 F 250 4x4 4sp. Parked 5 years ago when it ate the Ranger Torque Splitter. Couldn't let it go. Bought a new unit from Andavced in Jan, and have it all in and buttoned up. Of course, no start. New batteries. Drained the tanks and added 5 gal to...- troutski
