So far so good! have a few thousand miles on it now. The oil is not milk so that's great! Love this truck and great to have it back. Really could have used it after hurricane Irma. Merry Christmas!

that was the original plan for it to come on automatically and have the ability to turn them off via switch, but I believe I hurt the controller pulling the ground wire while it was cycling plugs, then it was a dead controller. I'm now just running momentary switch to white wire terminal...
Did that first thing this morning, now have control of the relay! Believe I hurt the controller pulling the ground. Its going to stay like this for a while, the simplicity is nice and being able the cycle them when I want. Thanks for all the help!
thats pretty much all I need them for, she fires right up warm. I think its headed in that direction.
You were reading that correctly, the only thing differently was that I literally just broke the black ground wire with a switch. 100% pulled the rug out from under it and I believe with...
ill start this off by saying engine is running great and this forum is awesome, I could not have done that build without the knowledge here. Also the parts and freeze plug tool you guys helped me out with, thanks everyone!
ok I live in south fl and I was not happy with how long my glow plugs...
I have PMF reverse shackle kit and has super duty front and rear springs. rides so much better than stock obs. day and night. I wasn't looking for a huge lift or anything but I have 35" tires on truck now. theres a few options for ride height and stuff, just something to consider
has anyone used these mounts from rock auto? they are around 11 each. open to suggestions
Thanks

ok iirc yea those bolts are longer, if your not going to use the lifting brackets it might be good to throw some shorter bolts in there or washer/spacer just for getting the intake manifold down tight.
yea should be all good there was 26 out when I checked it, my thought was that the push rod being stock length, maybe it would hold the valve open slightly? i like what I'm hearing that it will compensate
had the block decked 8 thou and the head between 4-6 iirc is that going to affect my push rod length or is stock going to be ok? will the lifters compensate for the extra length on the pushrod now
also had piston face cut .010
ok thanks just for clarification purposes its not the thrust sides of the bearing or the bearing surface, thats all smooth..its the outside edge of the bearing surface . I suppose I could just wet sand or knock off the little rough edge?
