Man! You got really into it, glad mine just cleaned up good, still had paint on them. But they got all new shoes, drums, hardware and emergency brake cables. New stuff sure does make it easy to reassemble!
Nostalgia for the body style, the love of the diesel motor, they are easy and cheap to work on and not all the electronic crap to go bad and stop it dead.

Try Brake-kleen, then a razor blade scraper while its wet. Take the razor blade scraper and pull it a cross a smooth concrete surface to remove the edge off the back side of the blade so it is less likely to gouge into the paint.
That is expensive for non-waste gated turbo. You can tell by the heat shield, it looks like a "wear" ring on it. It looks like they sand blasted it and are trying to sell it for new. I payed $300 for mine, it is used and missing the oil drain tube..
The one from Summit is a Banks part number , 24076. I tried to contact Banks but no response back from them yet.

It has almost everything, but the hose between the air filter box and the turbo and they cut the oil drain tube off!
so the questions are..... Summit has a brand new drain for a Banks Sidewinder turbo, will it fit...
