    such a nice day, so I cleaned out my interior, screwed my door panels down on the bottom to make a rattle go away, put Pioneer speakers in, topped off fluids, checked air filter, mostly tinkering around. Then I went mudding. LOL;Sweet

    glued my hillbilly-ass headliner back up... the PO used a camoflauge burlap material for a headliner! I like it, but it needed some attention. Wedged some adjustable-length windshield scrapers between the roof and the seat to keep it held up while the glue dries. Fun fun!

    I always wrapped the strap around the front spring hanger. Never had an issue, but we weren't getting too wild with it like "jerking" the truck.

    I noticed my glow plugs cycle themselves when the key is on, even after the light turns off. I can hear the celenoid, something like 2 seconds on, 2 seconds off, and so on. So you would say, have someone spray the ether while I am cranking? Thanks for the reply.

    I was thinking of using body lift to help the ext cab meet the kick in the frame. The problem is, I have more time than money. A flatbed would be OK. It will be left alone for now. The cab isn't too bad, but it will need to be scrapped after a few more MN winters.

    Look at my sig. It is a reg. cab long box, and it is pretty rusty. The cab has a long history of shady body work, and its second (atleast) set of rockers and cab corners are going to $hit.     Yes there are quite a few junk yards around here, should be pretty easy to find. Probably wait till it warms up a little bit before I tear off my front axle haha

    I can't imagine re-using the u-bolts, that would be terrible! Most of the time, it is faster if they snap off. Are most HD trucks the same spring width?
