Sasquatch Diesel Performance Inc. Presents "The Search for Power"
June 27th Drag Racing at Cordova Dragway Park Cordova, IL
Cordova Dragway Park
Friday night is a normal test and tune night at the
track. We will have our own staging lanes and depending
on turn out they will do a trophy...
The 'key trick' didn't start until the '00's!
it sounds to me that it's not going from 3rd to 4th but the converter is locking and un-locking on ya!
just my pennies worth!
well we've got 1800+ miles on the '07 now and WOW!!! I'm impressed. before we hooked it to the trailer we were getting an average of 17.4 MPG (hand calculated) only .03 off according to the overhead! once we hooked the trailer to it it fell to 11.0 but that was a full tank of fuel through it...
The Smary for the 24 Valves does not mention any info about gained HP just Fuel Boost and Timing if you choose an odd number!
I've had a Smarty on my '00 for about 2 years (maybe) and it's all I wanted and then some! having the ability to change the tire size etc, and checking and Clearing...
I would have to say stick w/ the 3.73's as well! due to the fact that it would be nicer fuel economy! basically the 3.73's w/ the 6 speed manual or Auto is very very close to a 5 speed manual w/ 3.55's. as far as the tach goes! in other words @ 70 6 speed 3.73's and 5 speed 3.55's will be...
well if you've got the $$$$ in your truck fund needing a place to go, then I'd just drop the hammer and get the filters as well. especially if you are going to be adding other options!
but if it's a matter of $200 I'd lean more toward getting a fuel pressure guage and see where you are...
sold long time ago.........................................................................................................................................
I'd personally have to go w/ Tonkadoctor on this one.
the drop in fuel milage could FOR SURE be from wanting to hear it!... I know I was guilty a time or two!... especially if there is a building or long underpass in my path!
my pennies added to the pile!
Fuel Pressure Guage! is a must! w/ the TST alone, if you go stacking anything w/ it you'll definately need to get one ASAP... and Like Holtzer said a Pyro would also be a good idea w/ the TST!
but I'm w/ 'em on this one... the Smarty is a really nice unit! put one on my 'OO and it sure...
I've done some business w/ those guys. it'll be a long haul up there for you but it could be worse. the good thing is you can call them and let 'em know what you are interested in and they'll work w/ you or find exactly what you need/want!
keep us updated.
if you do head up that way let me...
THANKS!!! just found the problem!
the whole last weekend SHOT down the tubes and all we needed was a Hammer! A BIG HAMMER!
what was throwing us off was a collar from the auto trans that was seized onto the Crank shaft!
He just called me and was trying to figure it out and got PO'ed and...
OK Fella's need some help here ASAP
my brother-in-law just bought a '94 F350 4x4 5 speed, 4 door SRW.. and the motor was shot in it, anti-freeze in the oil, fuel in the oil, you name it it was SHOT.
He bought an IDI out of a '92 ambulance, the only change he is making is the '92 had an...
hey fella's..... my father in Law has one that is steadily collecting dust and in dire need of a HOME! it's not as beautiful as those... but still a 3408! I know he'd take a whole lot less than that for it....
not to mention all the turbo's he's got laying around collecting more dust!
that same exact thing happened to my '95 and we used pop rivots, seems a bit easier than trying to weld. and I as well didn't have the multiple seats to swap!
sounds to me like your ground for sure. on our '95 the integrated ground was broken so we connected a wire direct to the frame and then routed it through to the ground in the 6 pin plug so we were for sure all trailers were grounded...
one way to check if it's a ground is when it is working...
I hate to say it.... but I'd have to say it's your VP-44!!!! :puke: that's sure what it sounds like to me.if it's wanting to try to die when just running down the road! yep get it checked out ASAP. double check the codes for your specific year truck.... GOOD LUCK!!
need a Fuel Pressure guage...
that's some awesome stuff there! if I had the funds my dually would be runn'n a set of those! for sure! LOOKS GOOD! now we are definately going to have to meet up when we are in CO!
I'll be in touch!
I'll vouch for that TEX... just got one 4 days ago... had it from 3-7 can't push it to 9 just yet!
some insight of comparison... I had a 65 HP bully dog for a year and a half! and pulled it 3 months ago, trouble w/ DTC's.... but had 'er on #7 friday night and my Fiancee compared my dually...
nope, haven't got around to it yet.... still looking at this and that and finding the time! I've been checking the pressure w/ the vulcan guage about every other week,....
hey did you get the twins in?
my Dad's 99 started some funky problems like this and it turned out to be a fuel line on the back of the block on the passenger side. it was leaking just enough to drip once or twice in the garage, never enought to make it to the floor, but could sure smell it and see it once he found it...
