Apparently it is rumored the 6.0 harness can be made to work by removing the connector. You can pick up both sides for less than $40. Nice and clean setup.
LOL just left the other forum to come here and get the link but it seems you have found it. Good luck it is a great upgrade. best thing for my truck period and really a great safety upgrade.
Vacuum sucks! Hydro is awesome. Replaced everything (calipers, pads, rubber hoses, shoes) including booster on my 88 DRW. Took it off and sent it packing. These should have come OE with hydroboost. The hydro swap does to the brakes what a turbo kit does for the motor. Daylight and dark.
I swapped the whole assembly after disassembling the doner checking bushings and adding grease to the cross shaft. Manual trans on my truck and donor. Didnt see point in taking apart pedal assemblies since both trucks were standard trans.
I changed everything from booster to the wheels. Brakes still sucked. I got fedup with it and put a hydroboost on it. Hydroboost is AWSOME and hands down best upgrade to truck made it much safer. Even better upgrade than turbo IMO.
Done sent the lift pump the scrapyard oldbull. F250xlthd one thing at a time lol. Cracked heads, banks kit, hydroboost. Now all the todo parts are cleared outta my shop so i guess i gotta go find more.
Since Ive done the hydroboost conversion the idea has been sparked to delete the vac pump. Ideas? Still need to run the heater controls though. I have thought of adding the little electric pump from a newer truck. I dont have a 3g conversion so i dont want to draw to much on alternator.
Thanx
11-12 hot idle
9 idle after a good pull

Numbers were alot higher before my turbo install. Maybe turbo line bleeds off alot of pressure or placement of sender
Havent disassembled it yet but looks like the plastic bushings are good just looking onthe outside. They move easily by hand but will br replaced and greased before installation. Anyone know the dorman part # off hand?. I got the pin bushings.
Picked up a hydroboost system at
junkyard today for $60 complete w/MC. One line twisted so I will have to
get a new one. Also got rod to pedal
and p/s pump cover with the return
nipple.
1. Are pedals the same can i use old one? Easy to change? (This one answered on FTE pictures showed about...
Buy a gasser. Cut off fuel pump mount extend tube with brake line and compression fitting then plug your connector on the two of the four terminals used for the sender. The other two for fuel pump power. Mine works well so far.
First off these trucks should have
come with a pad on top of radiator
as standard equipment. Found my
oil leak from turbo install. Wish I
were an idiot so i would have an
excuse for everything. O wait I am.
While punching holes in valley pan
baffle i seemed to have punched a
hole next to...
What the heck? Ive lost 10-15psi of
oil pressure. Let it warm up good
after work tonight and gauge was on
0. Went up to 20 after a little throttle.
Oil filter was warm so oil must be
flowing. Never got over 25-30 on the
way home even at 3000rpm. Now i
have oil in the valley pan too back...
Finished up today. PO had wrong bolt thread in oil block on turbo so when i tried to put in a longer bolt that caught morw than the first couple of threads i broke the cast ear off where the block mounts. Those are metric lol. That was an O heck/ holy poo moment. Tacked it back on and run a tap...
Didnt get a whole lot done today before work between reading my youngest girl books and giving the crows a hard time with my 338 lapua. Got pedestal aligned and tighened down after straightening bent brace. Oil line installed and crossoverpipe which required some heat persuasion. PO made it one...
