I just bought a 2006 ram 2500/Cummins. It came with a bullydog tuner which I know nothing about. Can anyone shed some light. I don't even know what model tuner it is. Its black with grey buttons. It says initializing communication and you cant do anything with it. This is treading new territory...
This has been an ongoing problem for the past couple years. I have replaced the vss, tach sensor, filp (set within spec) and valve body. The trans still bangs and goes into limp mode at random. I drove the truck the other day and noticed the tach was dead. I lightly banged the dash it came up. It...
Replacing the injectors on my '94. For the last injector on the pass. Side are you guys taking the waste gate off to get to that injector? Seems a bit difficult to get to.
As of recently I was having some issues with my pass side ground cable and it was in very poor shape. Yesterday went to start my truck and it wouldn't turn over. My gp light came on, radio, and lights were working. But when I turned the key nothing happened. I replaced the ground cable because...
I've got two idi's (in my sig below) I've just been kicking around the idea of getting rid of them. In the recent days I've had some troubles locating parts etc. Does anyone see these trucks gaining any popularity? I like the fact they are pretty cheap to work on but it bothers me to know I...
Whats the best way to cut the hose without fraying the hose cover? (kits from Mel) Also I read something about greasing the caps I think. Is wheel bearing grease ok?
Im in the process of replacing my water pump on my '86 and while removing all the brackets some bolts broke off including one in the steering pump bracket. I just want to take it completely out so I can paint it and its easier for me to extract the bolt. Is there anything particular that needs...
Im wanting to get rid of the a/c compressor on my truck (86 f350). A/c dont work and while removing brackets to change my water pump an ear broke off the compressor. I would just like to get rid of it. Is there an a/c delete bracket? Or what do i need to do to properly remove it?
My 6.9 has dual exhaust which is in need of replacing. It had the duals when I bought it. Is there somewhere I can get a y pipe? From there I'd like to do 5" exhaust. Will a obs 5" kit work? Or does someone make actual 5" kits for these trucks?
What weight gear oil should I use on my front and rear differentials on my 86 f350? I know the front is a d60 not sure what the rear is... What did this year come with for a rear end? Did they come factory as limited slip?
Starting to think my trans problems are a computer problem. Im gonna have the dealer check it out but the woman wouldn't tell me how much a computer is. Anyone know?
I put a new vac pump on my truck and im still having problems. The brake light also comes on too. The other day I had to brake really hard and my brake pedal literally got stuck. I played with it for a sec and it came back up. Is this the booster?
Which valve cover gaskets from napa do you guys recommend? I see they have what looks like regular cork, or they have a blue gasket thats called perma dry or something.
Do i just buy one of those vacuum testers at autozone and hook it up to the brake booster? What should the readings be? Also do i just test it at idle?
I soldered in a new headlight switch harness and the only lights i have now are the headlights. No interior , taillights, or marker lights. Should all of the wires get power when turn the switch on?
What was left of my old idler pulley was just a bearing. The old one must have fell of somewhere. So I cant make a comparison with the new ones im getting. The first one I bought was a metal pulley with the grooves in it. It was to big and I couldn't get the belt on. The second one is a smooth...
