Intercooler Dimensions
I always consider the boots to be the weak spot; but I plan on using Ford OEM boots and clamps and they're supposedly rated into the 30s on psi.. they're a very pliable boot and the clamps have a ridiculous surface area.. the reason I ask is that I know Mishimoto carry a boost rating (max boost...- 88fordidi

I wish I could find a boost rating on them; I'm planning on pushing some more PSI than what you're doing and I'm just hoping it hold up to it LOL. Intercooler Dimensions
Well, I have done some measuring (with everything still together..) and I THINK this is the biggest size for an intercooler that I can fit in my '88. Does anyone know for sure? Is this too big? Could I actually get more cooling area? I want the best I can do, but don't wanna drop a fortune on...- 88fordidi

Anyone else still thinking of Spectre?
OUCH!! I went ahead and fabbed completely custom on mine... it draws from where the drivers side battery used to be. MASSIVE Wix filter; it feels like you don't have a filter at all (the filter was designed to flow for about 200 more cubic inches..) so pretty much zero resistance feeding the IDI- 88fordidi

good point, thanks! I seem to recall that higher pressure on the fuel will have the effect of advancing the timing? it's hard to get flow without pressure though.. I'm running a facet 7psi pump now and it's not doing the trick. wish I could turn down the pressure on a FASS pump from DPS, I have...- 88fordidi

Chasing a Fuel Leak
Fuel return line? Would be one of the only ways that you would lose fuel without losing performance/grabbing air.. also it would only leak when the engine was pumping fuel, aka why you aren't seeing a leak just by priming up the lift pump.- 88fordidi

Well, my problem was that my lift pump must have been rated for a rather low amount, as when the problem was just that it didn't have enough flow to keep the engine running after I took off the mechanical pump.. when it died on a test drive I got the key off real quick and found that I had fuel...- 88fordidi

I was considering the fuel shutoff solenoid.. could the solenoid also be bad? I know all of the lines from the switching unit forward are good; I'm currently hobbled thanks to tearing the meniscus in my knee so I can't check up under it at the switching unit and can't really lift the bed. take the hose off at the electric pump and see what kind if flow you have there; you could just be sucking the line closed behind it or it's little inline filter could be clogged. that would be the best-case scenario I guess- 88fordidi
