    04.5 duramax temp maxed out startup

    Something failed with my Coolant temp Gauge. At cold startup it shows 260°. Then goes to about 300 if I had to guess. It didn't limp or no engine lights came on to make me think the computer so a high temp. Anyone with any thoughts would be helpful.

    Question for anyone, in a tech article by oldbull on transmission flush you said it was okay to use the Mercron V and ford had updated it. But you were talking about a 4100R transmission or something close to that. Anyways is it okay to use in my E40D. thanks! Jim

    flushing radiator only getting 6 gallons

    So I put in a new champion 3 row aluminum radiator and put in the block drain/ petcocks. I've done several flushes and all I can get in it is 6 gallons. What would you recommend I do as I'm ready to add my 50/50 mix tomorrow. thanks jim
