    Is there any mechanical difference between 158 and 175 hp?

    My f250 has the high elevation 158 hp engine.i realize that these trucks are slow but mines pathetic. I can't run the 55 mph speed limit when pulling a small flatbed trailer. Is the only difference between the HP ratings the pump output or is there more to it?

    Defective oil filter.

    Just wanted to share this. It's for a 15L caterpillar diesel. Napa gold made by wix in USA. Only about 3/4 of a thread to hold it onto the engine.     The one on my 87 F250 has stuck and burned up the rear brakes today. I can loosen the line at the valve and the brakes release. Where can I get a new one? Everything shows 77-86... Not 87.

    Can a glow plug test good but be bad?

    Got the 1/2 second flash instead if a steady on gp light. Tested them with a test light using the positive battery terminal one at a time and they all lit up the test light. I have in the past eliminated the electrical connection on the fender that burns up. Bad controller?

    I need some fuel filter mounting ideas

    Many years ago I mounted a water trap fuel filter on my truck. It's mounted to the fan shroud. Wix #33123 is the filter number. I would like to move it to a more accessible place under the hood but I dont see a place with enough room for it. It needs to be mounted with the drain down. Ideas? Pics?

    Atf to clean?

    I keep seeing atf recommended to clean injectors. How does it do that? Atf has no detergents or solvents. Wouldn't an injector cleaner work better?
