    Not a fan of the allisons, plus you would have to buy one, a stand alone controller, and an adapter. I would go manual, or built E4OD. I get the feeling built E4OD's have a better rep than a built 47re.

    After 8 minutes? That's a long time! That would rule out glow plugs. 8 minutes tells me it's either a bad injector, really bad Compression on that cylinder, or a valve train problem

    That's to funny :-p Prius? Lol I dont like those :-( she should get a tdi she would love t! There slow like poo though. :-/ I think right now I'm around 320 ish on a quarter tank. Justin is at 280 something on like Three quarters.... I'm not as patient as dear Justin :-/

    You are supposed to use two bottles per oil change.

    Keep or buy a new one

    I would be inclined to just be on the lookout for a cheap craigslist engine, or set of heads. No idea if it can be fixed, but deals are out there

    possible turbo rebuild in the near future

    Justin's truck leaks oil there as well. I dont think it exactly signifies a bad turbo. Could be the turbo isnt bolted down to the pedistal properly, or perhaps bad o rings on the pedistal? I would check for wheel play before deciding if your turbo is bad.

    Valve guides is what I was thinking as well. Like RSDSL said, compression is to high, and to close to each other, for it to signal to me it was bad rings. But I thought 7.3 IDI valve guides didnt burn oil, but the 6.9's did?
