Not a fan of the allisons, plus you would have to buy one, a stand alone controller, and an adapter.
I would go manual, or built E4OD. I get the feeling built E4OD's have a better rep than a built 47re.
After 8 minutes? That's a long time!
That would rule out glow plugs. 8 minutes tells me it's either a bad injector, really bad
Compression on that cylinder, or a valve train problem
That's to funny :-p
Prius? Lol I dont like those :-( she should get a tdi she would love t! There slow like poo though. :-/
I think right now I'm around 320 ish on a quarter tank. Justin is at 280 something on like
Three quarters.... I'm not as patient as dear Justin :-/
Justin's truck leaks oil there as well. I dont think it exactly signifies a bad turbo. Could be the turbo isnt bolted down to the pedistal properly, or perhaps bad o rings on the pedistal?
I would check for wheel play before deciding if your turbo is bad.
Valve guides is what I was thinking as well. Like RSDSL said, compression is to high, and to close to each other, for it to signal to me it was bad rings.
But I thought 7.3 IDI valve guides didnt burn oil, but the 6.9's did?
