Less than a month away! Drag racing, Show 'n Shine, and a dyno on site!
Also a big crawfish boil/afterparty at the Radisson hotel after the event!
Here's the classes we're going to have for the racing at Bash on the Bayou:
Bracket: So anyone can run no matter how fast or slow they are...
There's diesel drag racing at No Problem Raceway on Friday, April 28th. This is in Donaldsonville, south of New Orleans.
It's followed by a dyno day at TnT Performance in Baton Rouge. Free food and free dynos.
I'm definately trying to make the drags if my truck's ready in time (busted the...
13.8841!!! I finally joined the 13 second club! Official time is as follows:
Reaction time left off due to embarrassment
60 foot- 1.8012
1/8 ET- 8.7290
1/8 MPH- 77.17
1/4 ET- 13.8841
1/4 MPH- 95.10
I only got to make one pass because it started...
I would call Brian up if I were you. That doesn't sound right going off of what most others have said about his trannys. I'm sure he'll straighten it out for you.
Ended up being some bad fuel clogging the pump and making it blow the fuse. David at Diesel Innovations saw my post and called me Saturday to talk/walk me thru it. Took care of the problem on Saturday and made it to the races Sunday! Thanx for the help though.
Drove back from DI last night after getting rods and mini-me's installed and my fuel pump fuse blew. Changed the fuse, got home, and went to play with the truck this morning and found the fuel pump fuse was blown again. Put in a 25 fuse instead of the 20 that was originally there and although it...
BRING IT, lol! By the way, Gerhardt's said the track in Donaldsonville is probably gonna be doing diesel events pretty regularly now. I'll let you know if I hear when.
...according to one of my time slips. It said I ran a 13.00 in the 1/4 at 86mph. I swear that DI tuning never ceases to amaze me, lol! Obviously some kind of screw up. The guy at the ticket booth told the tower and they said I must have lifted, lol!
I did score a REAL new best time though: a...
I'd say that's a little high going by the Blue Book value. Of course that's a pre-haggle price like you said. :D I checked it as an XLT and the RETAIL value was $20,660. The trade in value is $15,025 if it's in excellent condition. I don't think you should pay more than around $16,500.
I must have the wrong date. It's on a weekend. I'll have to check when I get home. Maybe I'll come over to BR one Friday night and help you whoop 'em, lol! :D
Yeah, I went to the last ones they had. They were on April 15th. There were about 36 cars there if I remember right. It wasn't just diesels though, they just added a diesel class. The track was REALLY crowded. You ought to come to Gulfport one weekend. It's usually not very crowded, in...
By the way, you wouldn't happen to know if there's a Wyotech or comparable diesel school in LA or MS would you? I'd like to take some diesel classes just for my own information (I already have a pretty good job).
This was in Gulport, MS. It was pretty slippery out there but it eventually tightened up. I'm probably going out there again on May 17th for the All-Ford thing they have.
Couple of vids of me running at the track. That pass was a 9.52 eighth-mile run. Sux that it was 1/8 mile 'cause I know that would've netted me a 15.2, maybe even a 15.1 in the 1/4. Not too bad for a 7800lb. truck. : )
Additionally, although I did have 2 red-lights, I had three .52 (.02)...
Actually I put the turbo and stuff on my '02; the '99 has Banks stuff on it. I bought the exhaust, chip, intake, and gauges at once from Diesel Innovations and the total cost (including them installing it) was $2400. The Banks stuff on my '99 (not including the exhaust brake) was over $2000...
Installed my Garret BB turbo last night. Man, I would've bought that thing for the sound alone! It sounds like a friggin' fighter jet! It spools up MUCH faster too. I knew it would spool faster, but didn't know it would be by that much. Seems to be running about 50 - 100 degrees cooler egt's...
