    VSS WIRING?

I suggest getting the wire connector through oreilly(or other parts house) and sourcing a stock vss from a junkyard. Motocraft and part house vss's are now plastic where the originals are metal. When I tried the plastic, my speedo was extremely erratic and locked the trans into limp mode just...

    Gear ratio input

I have stock 3.55's in my truck on 37" tires and my rpms are around 2100 @ 75mph. Id think the 3.73's would be the best bet for city and mild highway on 35's. Sent from my 2PS64 using Tapatalk

odd issue.... sound system vs. hydroboost

Ground eq, head unit, or anything else sound system wise to the same spot as the amps are and 99% of feedback will be gone. Learned the trick when I swapped systems in my boat(such bad engine feedback stereo couldn't be ran with engine) and have done it to every other vehicle since. Sent from...

    Show me your bumpers!

Had this rear built for my truck seeing as I don't have the tools at home. Came out decent, once I get another welder I'm planning on adding some plate to the top step but it does its job.

Experience with Insurance co total and buyback?

Lawyer didn't get paid off the truck claim but will be getting a nice chunk(30% if it goes to court) of my dad's injury and loss of work suit. Crap happens, just have to have a bumper/hitch built and welded on now.

Experience with Insurance co total and buyback?

Back in July, my dad got rear ended driving my 93 f250(bent the hitch receiver, broke a leaf spring, bent the bumper and tweaked the frame under the leaf hangers). I had geico liability on the truck and the party that hit me had an out of state(safety national? Don't quite recall) policy...

94 7.3 idi turbo throwing belts?

My tensioner seized up so I replaced it with an off the shelf Napa one and kept losing the first rib on the belt. Put in a motocraft one and still kept losing the belt. Did a lot of research, a lot of measuring and still couldn't find an issue. Sent it to a family friend who's a diesel tech and...

    Bilstein 5100 v 4600

What I've done to measure bump is measure the distance between mounts at ride height, measure distance between axle and bumpstop(don't forget to give some extra length for the rubber stop to compress) then subtract that from ride height. to measure droop, pull the tires, support the frame with...

    Bilstein 5100 v 4600

Measure the length at ride height, bump(collapsed) and droop(extended) and order shocks accordingly with a few inches to spare at bump(collapsed). Every lift is different, and the guys at 4WP only know what their computer/books tell them(where our trucks have been long removed). On my 250 with...

So, i got into an accident today...

Start looking around at trucks for sale around the same years and options, find a number that you would be willing to settle for and hold to it. My truck got rear ended on July 1st this year while my dad was driving, and we just got settled out two weeks ago. Their insurance was persistent that...

    Where to buy 16.5 tires

The issue is that military tires and other 16.5's don't buldge like normal 16's or 17's. I run 37 Goodyear mt's on my truck with a 4" lift(before and after D60 swap) and have a friend that runs them as well. Never had an issue running them at 15psi with my outlaw II wheels but have seen multiple...

    Throttle cable adjustment?

I have found that none of the aftermarket cables are the correct length. If not done already, try replacing it with a motocraft cable

    Bad injectors/IP or worse?

Sounds good, I'll do a compression test next weekend(this weekend I have to change a rear leaf and all the bushings). Once payment clears from the accident, I'll be ordering a moose junior ip and moose mate injectors. If I burn it up after, so be it.

    Bad injectors/IP or worse?

I've been racking up the mileage on my beast, she's up to 369,5xx at this point. I know that the injectors and ip are way past their mileage, and overdue for replacement. My issue is, the truck has been sitting for 2 & half months since being rear ended(frame bent). now that the insurance has...

just got back from a auto salvage yard (A-CAR in montclair, ca) , they matched one up for me. ended up coming from a 92 e350. f3ta-3d673-8a is the part number my tensioner assembly also recently went out. had to buy a new one, 90% of the idi's left in the pick a parts around here are 6.9's...

    power steering pulley

ok, my pulley is a 6 groove and the OD is 5-7/8.. dorman doesn't have the outer diameter of the pulley's listed anywhere unfortunately and again most stores dont have all in stock. most likely im going to end up at the local pick a part later today

any alternatives for a 7.3 water separator base?

only issue im having is im pretty sure the plastic on the element is cracked as well. its not leaking around the plug, fuel is bubbling through the plug. money is tight, but so is time so i would rather fix it right, once and not have this issue again for 15+ years

any alternatives for a 7.3 water separator base?

just did a little more of a search and found that ford might have the part for around $160, uhaul has it for around $105(dont know if its new or not), and someone has 10+ for sale on ebay, buy it now $79.98. going to call around a little bit more tomorrow then most likely order it from ebay...

any alternatives for a 7.3 water separator base?

i would rather fix this issue the right way the first time, but as of now i might have to just do that. unemployment doesnt pay enough and i cant start my new job until i fix it. anyone know where i can get a replacement heater element? any problems with not having the element? im still pretty...

any alternatives for a 7.3 water separator base?

yea i guess it is the fuel heater, and yes it is the plug that is leaking. so if i replace the o-ring, will it stop leaking? or do i need to get the whole heater element?
