Some general questions on 06 Rams
You aren't going to get a 5 speed behind an 06, you get the 6 speed G56. A pretty good trans, not as stout as the nv5600 but still very good. The dodge crew or quad cab back seats aren't that big but would work for kids, smaller adults and dogs. I am not that big (6') and find the seats a little...- rufushusky

In a 2001 PSD you can run green (conventional meeting ASTM D4985 with the aforementioned SCA's), Gold (aka Zerex G-05 with SCAs) or ELC (coolants meeting Cat EC-1, Cummins 14609 or Navistar B-2). Any of those options regularly maintained will take great care of your truck.- rufushusky
