Those disappearing noises are the worst! When I first got the 92 there was a bad rattling coming from the back seat area (among many other noises). I finally took off the plastic cover behind the rear seat and found a screw that was trapped between the cover and the sheet metal.
:thanks:
It has signs of truck like usage. That picture just doesn't show the abused areas... both back corners of the bed, the drivers door etc. The paint was also very oxidized, the red looked more pink. I have been hand polishing it, lot's of work but worth it after seeing these results!
Today I finished up the bed liner with three more cans. Seems to have covered well. Will see how it holds up.
I also got one side polished with the fine polish and then put a coat of wax on. I’m actually impressed by the improvement.
Today I tackled the hole in the back corner of the bed. There apparently had been an eye type anchor that got ripped out.
I did my best to patch it up with a new piece of sheet metal. Welds came out ugly, I think I had some type of contamination, but I am confident it will hold the new...
How often will you be towing the travel trailer? I have been getting about 15MPG with my 92 just running around empty, however when I hooked up the 25ft travel trailer and threw the dirt bikes in the back it dropped to 9-10 MPG. I have only towed it once since I got this truck, but will be...
Looks like you are getting there! That injection line gets in the way on mine as well. The boot is flexible enough that the intake tube just dog legs up a bit. It was this way when I got it and I haven't had reason to change it yet.
I do however need to change that horrid green color...
Also have been working on hand polishing out the numerous dents. Not having too much luck, but the hazy paint is brightening up. ;Sweet First stage with a medium cut is complete. Picture below doesn't show it real well, but the red looks less pink now.
Also have installed the coolant catch...
It has been a busy month since I last posted an update. We spent two weeks on vacation in Idaho. Mostly at the sand dunes near Saint Anthony. Good times! Some of the dunes are huge. Picture below shows 'Devil's Dune' the little spec way out there is the wife on her bike.

Thanks David! I would believe the 20psi, but without studs I am hesitant to push it much past 15. Not much smoke, if I shift up to 3rd and use a bit too much of the skinny pedal I have seen a decent amount of black roll out. Since I am old I try to avoid this most of the time :)
Yes the 300 4-stroke is a great size, a few companies make them these days. These are both Shercos, a smaller up and coming brand. The 4-stroke is a 2017 model that I bought new and rode hard for 5 years, before she took it over. It has held up great.
