I had previously installed a Conastoga Diesel Baby Moose (which has a turbo tune) and Moose Mister injectors, but yes as part of the playing with it I turned it up 1 1/2 flats and made lots of black smoke with little provocation so I turned it down to 3/4 turn and it still smokes under throttle.
Did you ever find a solution to your issue?
I just finished installing the complete Pulse setup(w/intercooler and exhaust) and only getting 1-3psi@2300rpm. Pressure tested the system from the hat forwards and it will hold 20psi all day. Hook everything back up and test from the compressor and it...
Another upgrade complete, finished the install of NAPA coolant filter head and a heater core bypass. I have seen where several have done the bypass with elbows, nipples and tees, FYI: sharkbite 3/4” fitting fit 5/8” heater hose perfectly and looks much cleaner. Also did a custom fabed bracket...
I put a three core Champion in 9 years ago and have had zero issues until two weeks ago I was taking the fan off the clutch and the wrench hit the rad and busted a tube. Call Champion and $320 later and 4days shipped FedEx I had a new 3 core. Champion claims they are good to 800hp.
Hypermax Pulse is dyno designed around 7.3 IDI and they have crunched all the numbers and ship a complete system in three boxes. T4, intercooler and 3” exhaust.
Started the install this morning.
Getting a new 5th wheel camper and thinking of adding air spring to help level the load and improve handling. Any recommendations pro/con or personal experience.
search proved fruitless
TIA
Everything is new except for pivot bushings and spring bushings. In feb I did ball joints new steering linkage, rotors and bearings as well as an alignment. Last month I put in a reman steering gear.
Anyone have a good idea what causes the front tires to go pigeon toed when I back in?
That is the only time it does it, drives straight down the road with no pulling and no unusual tire wear. Wheels stand up normal when I pull thru a parking place.
TIA
Check the alignment on the PS pulley, mine was out 1/8" and cut the first rib off the belt. I realigned the pully on the PS pump shaft and all was good.
It may have been a replacement engine done under warranty. I was a Ford mechanic(steering/suspension,electrical, a/c & heating) in 92-95 and sometimes a vehicle had something go south in the engine and they would replace with a reman/Fred Jones engine then the buggered one was sent back to the...
well friggen hell.
I don't know what would make me think the bolts that hold on the backing plate would hold a stub spindle on a 3/4t truck, duh huh. Yes we have the technology and the skill but it would be more cost effective to roll a complete axle from a boneyard under her(heck maybe I...
The other day I came to a stop while running errands and noticed smoke coming from the l/r wheel. I have needed to do the axle seals for at least 9mo and have the parts but have been putting it off because I have been working on the road and after going 6/7 days a week, 12-15hr a day the last...
I put the RJM harness in last year and it was true plug and play, low beams look like the highs with the Silverstar Ultra bulbs. RJM's sites seems to be down, they may be out of business now.
