    Taurus overhead interior lights

I installed a Taurus interior light when I could not find a replacement cover for the original light. You will need to cut a little bit of the headliner so that it is not touching or too close to the left and right side lights. Pic #1 - If I remember correctly, the post that is circled had to...

    Low power

Okay, that relieves a little worry. Since we lost our local biodiesel distributor, I have been running 10-20% WMO.

    Torque Converter

Has anyone purchased a torque converter from Precision of New Hampton, Inc? The factory transmission has almost 200k with a lot of towing miles. mad as hell

There was an ignition switch recall for 91s back in the day for similar type fires, ie truck parked and catching fire in the middle of the night. If you were really unlucky, the truck was parked in the garage at the time.

    Return Lines Leaking

Don't rule out a bad fuel pick up. I would fill the tank up and then try to start it. The rear tank on my truck starts pulling air with 11-12 gallons still in the tank due to a bad pick up.

If the flasher is bad, I recommend the Tridon part # EL12. It is still made in the USA. The NAPA NF EL12 should be the same unit.

    6.9 vs 7.3 IP

Can a 6.9L IP be rebuilt for a 7.3L? There a complete 6.9L with oil in the coolant at the salvage yard. Was thinking of grabbing the IP to use as a core. They also had a F550 (ex fire department) '@!%# cash for clunkers. The rear axle, springs and transmission were already gone, oh well.

    Fleetguard combination oil filter

Fleetguard makes an oil filter with bypass filter. The part number for the PSD oil filter is LF9027. If your not currently running a PSD filter, I recommend purchasing a standard PSD oil filter and checking your clearance between the filter and crossmember before ordering the more expensive...

    hot steering column

Since you were towing, was the engine under boost most of the time? That would raise the exhaust temp up and you could be getting a lot of heat off the exhaust manifold into the steering column. Check how close the steering column comes to the left exhaust manifold. There really should be heat...

    Muffler Opinions

I did a 3.5" exhaust on my truck with the tail piece from a used Banks exhaust to go over the axle. The issue I encountered was resonance at highway speed due to the diameter and the length of straight pipe under the cab and bed. I added a straight thru 8-1/2" x 30" muffler with centered 3.5"...
