    Happy Birthday Travis

I would love to, but probably no time to soon. Hopefully Exekiel Viviana and I can do one together sometime. Long story. But I have a huge mountain of things that I have to get straightened out "including my head" before I can take any trips.

How do you check the charge? What is the correct charge level? I have been told that 2.5 cans is about the correct level? We put in 3. But have to pull the system back apart to flush and replace the r134. We also replaced the black can. Is that a accumulator or what is the correct term...

Thanks, Sounds like we will be pulling it apart and flushing while were in there.

    vacuuming a/c

Thanks for the info. As we have to open up the system and lose the R134 to turn the filter around. And I don't want to be running the AC till I know the filter is correct. Can anyone else also confirm that the filter is backwards. As they say "Trust but verify" Thanks, Charlie

    vacuuming a/c

Thanks for the detailed explanation!! The next thing I want to try to confirm is if the oriface tube filter is in the right way or if we have to switch it around. If we have to open up the system to switch the filter, might as well flush it while in there.

    Not doing well

Well it can't really be stated better than that. I agree 100%. The only thing I would add. Motorcraft, Rotella, Amsoil. Are all excellent oils. Any one will work fine. I am happy to hear that your oil pressure has recovered. That's great news!! Charlie

    Not doing well

Hey Exekiel, I went back in time and looked at each post you did when your oil reports came in. It looks pretty clear that the numbers started going south at the same time the amsoil bypass system was installed. I don't believe the amsoil in its self was the problem. It is good stuff...

    Not doing well

That is a very good point. Correct me if I am wrong. But did you mention that the engine sounded different on startup with low oil pressure. Then returned to normal sound once oil pressure was built up. That sounds like it could cause enough engine bits banging together to shed some lead into...

    Not doing well

IMPO, Exekiel, I don't think you need a flush. From what you describe to me. When you looked under your valve covers. Every thing was very clean. You have changed your oil and filters at short intervals since your engine was installed. There is no evidence of sludge. At 30K your engine...

    starter solenoid switch

Hey Exekiel, I looked it up on a Motorcraft Website. SW1533C New Solenoid w/ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP As our trucks did not come stock with the Electric Fuel Pump. Could it be that is what the extra terminals are for?

    starter solenoid switch

Exekiel, I looked it up on Rock Auto. I presume the AC Delco Part# F934 listed above the Ford part is the AC version of the same switch? If you click the "more info" tab on the parts page. Does the switch you have look the same as the ones pictured? Just wondering if the switch they sent...

    IDI rescue

Yes I want to go up on Clingmans Dome. Yea the bear encounter is more exciting in person. But a lot safer in the truck. Not much chance that I can make it down there this year. But I sure wish I could. Say hi to Danielle for me. You are a lucky guy to have such a lovely wife! Charlie

Aric, It was great talking with you at the last Rally. Yes it is beautifull riding down that way. Earlier this year. I went down to Deals Gap with a group of riding buddies NC and rode the "Dragon". I also hiked from Fontana Dam to the top of Shuckstack Mountain on the AT. Very steep trail all...
