His signature shows, that he has a '93 pickup. The trans code for the E4OD is "E" on the driver door jam sticker and takes Mercon (superseded with Mercon 5) spec fluid. The E4OD is pretty easy to spot. It's very large.Has a big sensor (range) under the shift linkage,an electric bulkhead connector on...
I went with the autozone/spectra w/ the plastic tanks.Yup.It looks cheap.Lifetime warranty and being local though. No costly shipping hassles, when it fails lol.
The saddest part about it all,is they're smogging up China.......for trash!
Your issues are not a failing Range Sensor.Replacing it wouldn't gain you anything. Those are more along the lines of a faulty TPS.I would suspect faulty wiring if your sure, that the TPS (formerly called FIPL) is set correctly.
TIP: If your having constant issues with shift timing, and can't seem...

That's where it gets pricey (if you want to use oem threads).
This is all I wanted for running a very cost effective aux oil cooler:
But no.They can't make one of those. That would be too easy.:D
You either have a faulty gauge or your getting very unlucky and getting dud t-stats.
You can have a locked up fan but if the t-stat is set to 190F then that's going to be your temp.
How's the heat in the cab? Does it heat you right out? If so,I would suspect a faulty gauge.Don't have one of...
You also have a bad t-stat or bad gauge/sending unit.No time once up to temp (at the very least 190F) can it ever drop below this, with a properly working t-stat.
For my commercially used trucks,I count on the quality products found at Conestoga Diesel Injection.:peelout
Anyone seen Santa's little elves running around oilburners.net again this year? Keep your eyes open for the little buggers.:santa:
