Yep, those need to be replaced just on principal, also check the oil level in the HPOP, make sure it is full and not draining down.

    Experiences with the 6.0 PSD?

Loved my '06 6.0 F350. The only reason I traded it was due to to rising fuel/oil prices and dwindling paychecks. Found a tutorial somewhere on pulling the EGR out and cleaning it, which I made part of the maintenance and every now and then drove it like I stole it just to clean it out. Never...

    help me

Welcome to OB! The Powerstrokes have a little hesitation on take off until the turbo spools up. If it's real bad, like no movement at all when you mash the pedal, then take it to a dealer and have them run a diagnostic on it to look for trouble codes. John

    How Much to Pay?

Yeah, what year model. My '06 was stickered at 52k and I walked out with it for 40 even.

test from new photo hosting site

I've seen some pano's stitched together and it's hard to tell, not to mention that with 3,4,or 5 images the tonal control you have before stitching and then doing a HDR convert......DAYUM!!! Now if you want to get crazy and have money just burning a hole in your pocket get one of these...

test from new photo hosting site

Well at $6489 smackers for the SW617, I can buy a d300, RRS or Kirk panorama ball head, and some damn good software to stitch the images together, and still have some left over to pay for travel. I've given serious thought about digging out my dad's 8x10 view camera just to play around with.

test from new photo hosting site

Seems that when I "protect" an image from being "right click-save as" on the host site it carries through to the forum as well. Not sure why some could see it and some could not. I'll need to remember that. ;Sweet

test from new photo hosting site

Thanks gang, Mike, I'll have to go back and look at the exif info, I don't recall the setting right off. Scott and Kevin, I don't know why you can't see the image unless you have a firewall blocking it or something, it's not locked on my end  Geo, I'm probably going to set...

    air and fuel filter

Actually the stock air filter/housing is probably the best, I know hard to believe but true cookoo As for the fuel filters, just use good one's. I always used the NAPA gold which I'm pretty sure were WIX, never had a problem. Not sure about modified housings for that area though.

water on carport after motor has been shut down

Welcome to OB! Something to check is the coolant reservoir, make sure it is not over filled, or it will puke. With the motor cold it should be no higher than the "Low" line on the tank. There was a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) about this some time ago. Also make sure that the seal on...

    Missing Person...PLEASE READ

What can be done is to move the actual thread to the lounge and leave a re-direct here in this forum, might get more visibility if we do it that way. Would like to get maximum exposure across the boards for Ray. Thoughts?? John

fuel mileage ? for my new boss

Greg, first thing I'd do is find another dealer. One who has a tech that's willing to properly diagnose what's wrong with the truck instead of just throwing parts at it hoping to find the right fix. EGR valve and cooler along with the turbo are thing to look at. As far as lemon law goes...

    Oh $hit.

Something to try if there's enough of the bolt to get a pair of vice grips on..... heat the bolt up and spray it with some penetrating oil PB or better yet Kroil if you can get it in your time frame not everybody carries it. BEFORE trying to back the bolt out tighten it up a smidge, I know...

    Truck down need help...

Wooo Hooo, glad you got her running. It would be interesting to know if 1) you're using the ULSD and 2) if it contributed to the failure of the pump due to lack of lubrication in the pump itself. Glad you're running John

Sounds like the PCM but check ALL of the connectors especially to the PCM, just in case it wiggled loose.

    no body cant help me

Ian, it sits on top of the differential and has a small wiring harness attached. I think when I had to replace mine it was about $45.00 or so, not sure what it will cost in the Islands.

    no body cant help me

Ian welcome to Oilburners. More than likely it's the speed sensor on the rear differential, when it goes it causes the trouble you are describing. John

    I took the plunge. too

Speaking of the EGR, make sure that you really lay into the throttle every now and then so as to keep it from gunking up on ya. Don't be afraid to blow the soot out of it......... just don't do it in front of the po-po......... (once again, don't ask how I know this :dunno )
