I don't have an intercooler, but maybe you're asking teh OP bookite03. The tone ring is from Autoworld in Montana and the tach pickup sensor is the stock Ford unit.

The tone ring mounts in front of the OEM vibratory damper, (I...
Yeah It is the autoworld A/C mount setup for the Ford AC compressor. All factory lines fit. The bracket wouldn't be hard to fab but they have the billet pulley with Serpentine & Vbelt groove you can buy.
Nice Truck, I'm in the final stages of the same project, damn near. Except my motor is from a non i/c 1991.0 truck. I decided to go sans intercooler for now, but running an HE300VG VGT turbo mainly for exhaust brake and to see how the EGTs pan out. I have a powerstroke intercooler out of a...
Thanks for your input, Icanfixall and The Warden. This truck fell into my lap (was stroring it for a friend but ended up buying it) but alas it was just a carcass sans powertrain so it never had the IDI oil burner to start with. My brother had a 1991.0 D250 cummins 5 speed that I finally...
update: OK I think I figured out my issue(s). I had to push the rad FWD to the front side of the mounting flange which gave me just a tad extra clearance for the fan. Between that and tipping the top fwd with a couple washers I was too far into the front of the hood. Corrected those and now...
Hi all,
Just a quick survey to see if any of you with a Red Rodney radiator had any hood clearance issues? Looks like I'll have to do some clearancing of metal subframe of the hood to get it to close over the fill port. The Rad fits great otherwise, but not much of any room to go down...
My vote goes to the VE pump 12V or 24V conversion. No P Pump and no VP44 electronics. Definitely no Common Rail. The ultimate would be the VE pumped 6.7s that are being churned out. http://www.competitiondiesel.com/forums/showthread.php?t=168044
Hi all,
I have been reading up a bit on the gauge/sender situation with these trucks. There is some conflicting info out there about the 1987 year trucks. Some say that 1987 is the last year of the real gauge readings and others say that 1987 is the first year of the "Idiot Light in Gauge's...
yup I agree. I'm going to bend up some plate to bolt into both the frame and xmember so it will be removable. Thank goodness for the swag offroad press brake kit.
So yeah looks like the highboy crossmember is around 4 inches narrower than the bricknose frame. Plan is to use my press brake to bend up some plate/strap to widen the crossmember and allow it to bolt in/out easily if need be. Should be as beefy or beefier than stock. Planning on getting...
Hi all, I went ahead and ordered the OEM new Ford gears from Rock auto. I'll let you know how they turn out. Thanks for looking out for a fellow oil-burner.
Actually that is good news that the older frames are narrower. That means I actually have a chance at wedging the crossmember in from below, and then easy as pie to just make beefy brackets that bridge the gap.
What is the tried and true for getting a custom intercooler installed all while keeping your AC condenser? Hypermax Looks very IDI specific with the why it has asymmetrical inlet and outlet ports. I read that the 1991.5-1993 Dodge cummins intercooler will fit. Since I'm running cummins in my...
Putting a cummins / 2wd Getrag / Ford Divorced NP205 in my 1987 F350 CCLB 4x4 truck. Wanted to see if I could shoehorn the factory crossmember for the divorced case to keep it somewhat original looking and functioning. Anyone?
