Got new injection pump and injectors installed now plumbing in new lift pump and turbo manifold does a 6.5 down pipe work for these trucks? looks like its going to be a tight fit in there
So just about everything in this truck as far as a fuel system is shot the filter is wrong (too small) the electric pump is also too small pulls a vacuum on the fuel system with the truck running and the pump is some what iffy what a mess
I have had 3 6.5s never tried the WMO on them I think there is a way around the sensor though. The 6.2s are underpowered stock need a turbo but most the 6.2s are old school vehicles. I have read alot of people do run WMO in them also the 6.2 is alot Easyer to work on compared to the 6.9s 7.3s...
Yes it is a 400 the guy told me it was a 350C but he was pretty dumb the 400 works good with the ultra low tq converter I still need to check the vacuum at the modulator and the pump for that matter seams to be shifting late minor things. I'm looking for a pump And nozzles now to get the fuel...
Got the tranny back in seams to work much better but I think the fuel system is shot. higher rpms the truck does not like and will studder and miss also has a little bit of white smoke I would say the pump and nozzles are done
Ive had 3 6.5 chevys never an issues with any of them go to ssdieselsupply.com they have all the 6.5 stuff you need. I towed with mine all the time never an issue the last one I had was a 96 with a PMD heat sink marine injectors chiped and stright 4" exhaust that truck would straight up move If...
Ok so I pulled the tranny out everyone wanted an arm plus leg for a standard OH. So i said screw it and took it apart my self not really finding anything bad few bushings worn the filter was put on way wrong pry mostly the cause of my problems. I also found everything in the valve body sticking...
I think it may have multiple issues haven't had a chance to even look at it yet thoug. Going on the freeway it wouldn't get going more then 45 and seemed to be stalling at times if you down shift it didn't want to rev much and when it did the trans would just slip. It has a 350c.
When I pulled...
The supply pump has been replaced with an electric unit and a different water separator filter instead if the brick I need to go through and check the basics the longer drove it the worse it got when I took the off ramp the truck actually died it restarted no issue but still left a bad feeling...
So I went and looked at this 1986 gmc 2500 4x4 with a 6 .2 looks all stock has dual flow masters was told it has a tranny issue seamed ok to me so I got it cheep (1200 bucks) about 3/4 of the way home it started getting slower and slower seamed to shift ok but just less and less power seams like...
Ok so usualy on the way to work the best mpg I could get was between 19.5 to 20 now after the banks kit was installed im getting 21.8 so not to bad for less then an hours worth of work last night if you ask me;Sweet;Sweet
Ok got my cold air kit today a lot cleaner then the OE stuff with out the silencer heres a couple pics of the kit and after installation Ill let you know of any mpg gains tomarrow on my way to work hopefully it will be significant
stock vs banks filter
stock vs oe piping and box...
yea but that right there is the reason why people in diesels have a bad image :frustrate not all people see it that way but some do and the ones that don't like it are the ones complaining the most causing all the rules and laws.
How the hell did this get so off topic? :wtf: ill stick to my...
G's get over your self i'm not implying that the system is an improvement my point was that yes the truck runs cleaner and that i would be trying to optimize my mpg with out ripping off all of the emissions equipment and by the way my jeep had over 100k miles with all the dpf and egr equipment...
Chrysler has to be the worst for warranty all they do is lie and try to get out of doing the work but as far as i know unless you have a kiln it wont be cleaned correctly so how ever they're cleaning it is more then likely pure bs plus the dpf has to be removed so sounds kinda fish to me if you...
well if they just try to clean them out without the right equipment then they will not be fully cleaned and will work but most likely clog up quicker the next time
A ran in to a guy from haliburton the other day and got to bs'n with him about work and what not he was saying they have them replaced in there service trucks all the time cause they will idle for days sometimes up north in the cold and the last one ford had charged them to replace was just shy...
You know I traded in my 07 Jeep Cherokee diesel witch by the way has a dpf as well, and never once had a single issue with the engine or emissions system and the nice thing was when you go by the exhaust pipe there was no soot at all in the pipe or on the car. Im wondering how people are driving...
Not too worried about gaining power I just want to increase my MPG if possible but I dont feel like wasting money on something if it doesnt do anything
