    was a D60 front a heavy-duty F350 option? must make the ride alot stiffer this F350 also had an "off-road" designation (which I don't need, I'll just be towing a 5,500# boat/trailer combo) I would think you'd want a two-piece front axle for serious off-roading what is the advantage...

    ATF idea is interesting (and cost-effective, compared to specialized paint). It's viscous enough so it could be shot out of a paint nozzle and really get into the nooks & crannies. Using a product like POR-15 would be expensive and time-consuming (and much less likely to hit the nooks)...

    not bad, Calvin! needs some cosmetics, but I like the one-family owner program I don't trust an auto with trailer brakes, tranny re-build runs half as much as the selling price it all boils down to maintenance, especially when it's 4,000 miles away
