    So just to update. It was retarded a lot. I think I moved the pump at least the thickness of 3-4 dimes. Git her set at 9.1 or 9.2. Honestly didn't feel much of a difference...the slight puffing iffsmoke at idle is gone. I did loose three pounds of boost..but my egts were down a 100...

    Ok, Im using a ferret 765. (got one that works) I took this picture while the engine was at 2000 rpms and advance set at 7. At 9.5 it was even further away from the "0" So my pump is really Retarded correct? Just checking...before I make any adjustments.

    Agreed, I called Ferret/GXT and their customer service was great. They agree it could be a problem with the loop. So they are taking care of me. Ill let you all know what happens once I get this exchanged for another one.

    Sorry, im sure my comment was confusing... I was thinking that the timing light turned on in time with the rpm's and if i dont have a reading I wasnt sure how to use it by just using the tach in the truck. But, i think you answered the question...maybe I need to use a non-advanced timing...

    Yeah, I did try moving the clamp all up and down the 1 and 4 line. Doesn't make any sense. The red light on the ferret is blinking correctly like it is picking up the pulse correctly....very frustrating.

    I dont think the actron 7529 has an arrow on it...But I did try it every which way I could and multiple locations. The Innova timing gun did have an arrow...I pointed it towards the black box? I pretty sure I attached that thing all over the place...is there a specific way to attach to the...
