boost
check the up pipes going to the turbo they can break and the seals will fail causing low boost, with a stock truck you should beable to hit 15psi hope this helps- 97idi

yeah iam making my own i found the number but now iam having a hard time getting the parts aparently the few manufacures are out till next year and i cant wait that long, so i think iam going to make my own plungers and barrels with other mods iam doing to them and the plunger and barrel should...- 97idi

Direct injection head designs
I think the biggest problem with making the injector longer idea would be the angle at which the fuel is sprayed into the cyl along with the spray pattern, their is a reason why DI engines spray in a large cone into a dish, and its for fuel air mixture. now iam not saying i dont want to see...- 97idi

well i was not clearly saying what comp i was talking about but u still gave me some info so thanks, but iam not talking about the comp on the left side of the dash behind the e brake pedal, iam talking about the one right under the center of the dash its up their a ways but its their iam prity...- 97idi

hey guys so iam working on a new project and i got a auto 96 psd engine/ complete wiring exc iam putting it in a manual truck, and i was wondering what will happen with not having the auto comp :dunno also the computor for the trans is the one under the dash correct? thanks!- 97idi

1/4 mile times w PROOF
1000HP In a gasser is completly different than 1000 hp in a diesel, all u guys are looking at it the wrong way, that car that u built makes 1000 hp (iam not saying itdoesent) but one anything that big takes off slow, (maby he didnt leave full throttle) also it was lifted and had larger tires...- 97idi

How to do back brakes??
the adjuster is the star wheel looking thing on the bottom back side of the brake assembly their will b a slot to get a brake tool in and u rotate it also make shure u dont have the parking brake on its a simple mistake but would keep it from moving- 97idi

Engine Swap Questions.
well the auto should bolt up to the idi and if the PSD has an auto its a E40D trans its electronic so u will need the computor for it exc exc along with the throttle controle for it, the engine wiring is basicly GPs, fuelshut off, high idle exc, nothing too major if u ask me should be simple if...- 97idi

ip pump question
not saying its the worst thing you can do but heat is a killer in a diesel expecially if ur running a turbo, i will take mine quite hot but i dont like to keep it their, it takes a long tiime to get to 900 even with my pump maxed but once i get over 1000 when towing ill either kick on some water...- 97idi

I'm new, go easy on me.
well being that in 95 became powerstrokes i would assume thats what your wanting to swap. you will need all the engine wiring comp exc exc if it was me i would put in a new CPS and IPC also a rear main seal and anyother gaskets because it will be way easier with thhe engine out possibly new...- 97idi

its called the killer dowel pin here is whare its located and what can happen A= whare its supposed to stay B= a bad day some times they fall out and cause no harm but in other cases it will destroy the motor:puke:- 97idi

sound like u arent getting any fuel, take the filter off and fill it up then crank her over with the lines cracked till u see fuel the titen them and see what happens, plug it in plug it in- 97idi
