    WTS light relocation

Yours looks great with the black, I've only seen a few trucks with that. I like the wood grain on a colored dash but with your tan, wood grain would be a bit much I think. Looks great tho!

    Continuous vacuum troubles

I've always had vacuum issues with my 85, new pumps not lasting but a few months and old junkyard pumps lasting a year or better typically. I always start messing with the system come warm weather when the vents won't switch off defrost and the aftermarket heater valve won't suck closed. That's...

    D60 kingpin

That's the write up I followed to rebuild mine. I ordered the 7/8 allen from Matco, to my door for 35 bucks I think. The kingpin kit I ordered from offroad designs. That was 130 or so to my door for both sides. They actually are pretty easy to do, mine was no trouble at all, all done cleaned...

    Draw in gauge cluster

I've had a draw in my 04 for some time, finally got to digging around in it today. I can narrow it down to the gauge cluster. I disconnected the grounds on both batteries, and placed a test light between the terminal and the disconnected ground on one of the batteries, then started pulling...

    A/C Compressor not engaging

Yes, power is through the pressure switch, to the compressor. I can manually engage it (with a piece of wood when running...or having the key on, and pushing the clutch in by hand, then starting) and it'll stay running. So I'm concluding that it's the air gap in the clutch. I'll start it...

    A/C Compressor not engaging

I've filled the truck with 134, there's power going through the pressure switch, and power on one wire at the compressor, ground at the other, and the clutch won't engage. Is this something I can maybe fix without evac'ing the system and starting over? I assume I can pull the clutch off the...

    clutch pedal from 85 into a 78?

Will they bolt up, or work without a whole ton of headache? Or do I HAVE to find one from a 78 era? Doing a zf 5 speed into a 78 half ton with a 460. I have an 85 parts truck that I can pull the clutch pedal and all the mount from. If it'll work. Thanks. Chris.

    Door Striker troubles...

Yeah it's not an adjustment issue, you can tell it's dragging on the top and bottom of the plastic. So, I ordered it for an 81, which is what my cab is...any idea which years had the smaller or larger diameters? Thanks. Chris

    Door Striker troubles...

I've ran into this previously...new door strikers from Napa, that the bushing seems too large. I replaced one today, and you can tell when you close and open the door, that the dogs on the door latch are dragging on the striker bushing. Anyone else had this trouble? Do you think my latch is...

Brad, did you end up deciding on a color? If so, what did you end up doing? Or are you still on the hunt...

    dumb SMF clutch question

Most auto parts stores should stock them. Make sure the pilot bearing is the needle bearing style not just the bronze insert. A little grease on that bearing will do nicely too.

after market oil gauge where to tap into the motor

I think you can tap in on the lower left of the block, if there's room between your exhaust. All the way to the rear. Someone else should know better...

    weather stripping on doors

Double sticky tape is usually available at most auto parts stores, made my 3M. Comes in different widths. Or try a paint/body shop, maybe a little cash and they'll cut you off a piece from thier larger rolls

I have a leaker after injector replacement

I'd probably focus on the cap and orings. Maybe an oring got cut a little when the cap went on, which is pretty common. Or maybe the cap is split, or worn out, or just a plain bad cap?

    C6 to T19 swap

I'd agree with Heath, worth the effort. But, if I was going to go through all that work, I'd put a 5 speed in.

    Heading to Texas

Well, this trip was kinda a bust, nothing panned out like I thought it would in the beginning. I'm headed home Tuesday, and I didn't get to see much for sights or meet up with any of you. The work fell apart and I never did make any money, but I've had a good time, wouldn't mind coming back...

Rebuilt IP installed no diesel coming out of IP working on it now.

Glad to hear you got it running. Do you think it was just excess air like others mentioned? Again, glad you worked through it and got it. Good job. Chris

04 Horn Blows on it's own

Lets start by saying I'm 2200 miles away from my truck, just looking for a little help or pointers before I get home. Got a call the other night from the landlords saying my horn was going off. They tried locking and unlocking the doors with the remote but it didn't help, so they ended up...

Anybody know where to buy just the copper washers for injectors?

I'm not worried about it, I have lots of those, they won't be much to ship. Are you replacing your injectors, or why do you need the washers? You'll probably need o-rings at a minimum if you pull the caps and pull the injectors. Maybe just a whole return line kit would be best...Just...

Anybody know where to buy just the copper washers for injectors?

    Looking for an engine, again.

No Kiddin, small world huh. What was the name of the company? The rebuilder is Portland Engine Rebuilders. If you call, talk to Ted King, tell him Chris Warren recommended him. Though I just noticed you are turbo'd, that was a bit higher price due to head studs.
