Overheating
ALWAYS test a new T-stat on the stove in a pot of water with a thermometer, no matter what the application. 99% of the time they work, so I'm sure it's fine. You did use an OEM one right? Not one straight from Chingladesh? Get some dye in the system and find the leak, but you are pressurizing...- jwalterus

Doorman Help 1330823 or 74410 is the nylon plugs to go inside the triangle on the gear 74409 is the gear I have yet to find a replacement for the motor worm gear, but that's why I keep a couple used motors on hand- jwalterus

Overdrive and city driving
It's because the early OD transmissions would hunt for a gear cruising anywhere from 35-45. I have a stretch of road I have to take going into town, it's about 4 miles, perfectly straight, but speed limit 40, and just enough incline that a truck with an AOD will shift 3-4-3-4-3-4 holding it...- jwalterus

Or you could go the route I plan to at some point. I'm planning to drop some 3.73 gears into my axles rather than boost my truck. Don't do that Might as well be concerned when your coolant temp hits 210..... ;Poke nothing to worry about, but you might be running a little warmer than normal of course, my truck runs cool, I gotta work the heck out of it to get over 220- jwalterus

You haven't started the swap yet. Sounds like a 2 KEG project...... Better yet, just put a kegoretor in the corner of the garage..... LOL Remember, you're gonna have to swap wiring, make new brake lines, fit your tanks, and all that as well......- jwalterus
