    Hay, Brick nose freaks!!!

Got drl led strips that also double as turn signal and hazard lights. Flipped those two wires and the low and high beams work normally now. Just gotta wait for the glue to dry, I used clear caulking with two spots of jb weld in case I'd have to take them apart again but now I'm worries that...

    Hay, Brick nose freaks!!!

Yeah I'm gonna try and switch the red and green with black stripe first and if that doesn't do it I'll just have to guess and check until I get it. The moto control wire harness is for both types and idk how that works right.. I guess it doesn't lol.

    Hay, Brick nose freaks!!!

It said it was for both but I'd assume switching it on the truck side is safer since it works as long as the truck side is switched power not ground.

    Hay, Brick nose freaks!!!

Yeah I wasn't gonna get the bulb holder on without doing that. I'm trying to figure out which two wires I need to swap. I'm thinking red and green with a black stripe.. hopefully these are switched positive and not switched ground like 9007..

And they're in, cut the back bulb holder off even at the back of the rest of the housing, dremeled the nubs that hold the halogen bulb away and about another 1/16 of an inch inside the bulb holder area and the projector fit in real snug. Locking nuts on, hid bulb holder on, wired it all up which...

    Hay, Brick nose freaks!!!

It will on the headlight part the turn signal portion I don't know that it will fit on. The headlight portion just needs material dremeled away in the 4 corners so it can fit over the slightly bigger headlight but I will say I didn't try and put it on and close the hood and see how it fits. I'll...

Powerstroke ZF5 to a IDI truck?

Only issue is if your truck previously got the speedo cable driven by the trans, a psd truck's trans won't have a way to drive it as they get driven by the rear axle normally. I have a trans from a 96 truck in my 90, but luckily for me the previous owner had the trans rebuilt at a shop and he...

    Hay, Brick nose freaks!!!

So I drove it last night. It's no better than stock. It looks it on a wall and it might be better than old yellow lenses but it isn't better than new old stock lights. The beam pattern is everywhere and they are aimed too low and even if you adjust them up some it doesn't help much. I'd say if...

    Hay, Brick nose freaks!!!

Not to now quadruple post but I got mine today and tossed them in as is for now to see how they looked.. after I tried 10 minutes on 240 and wasn't able to budge the lenses. *edit* after driving it and using the lights out of the garage this part of what I thought was wrong.. it just looks...

How much did you dremel the hole out? I'm getting Mini D2S projectors that have the locking ring on the back but I'm hoping I don't have to go too crazy with the dremel.

    Hay, Brick nose freaks!!!

I still think I'm going to retrofit mine once they get here if I can get the lenses off safely.. I'm gonna try to get the lenses off tonight. Hopefully I don't have to dremel much once the projectors get here.

    Hay, Brick nose freaks!!!

I guess my thought was if the new clear lenses alone aren't an upgrade it would be a couple hundred dollars cheaper versus hid retrofit or aussie fixtures to if possible buy the clear lense lights and take the cover off, and mount these inside them...

    Hay, Brick nose freaks!!!

Lol it would be nice if the lenses just fell off like they did on the old lights that were on my truck. I barely even pulled on them and the lenses hopped off. It's a shame they don't make sealed beam lights in this size, there are so many 5x7 sealed beam led's you can get on amazon and that's...

    Hay, Brick nose freaks!!!

I ordered a set as well, the headlights on ernest could use replaced anyways. I'm curious how awful the halogens are, I have no issues HID swapping them but I hate trying to separate the plastic from the light itself. I'm wondering if I could sit the thing in front of a torpedo heater instead of...

    Installing a/c

My 85 was non AC and I put an under dash ac system in it with a factory condenser and it worked on mine, but it was a bullnose factory swap not sure what happened after the bullnoses.

    Bake them in the oven?

So what did you do with your truck today?

Added an old set of bixenon projector hids as fog lights. Wired up the trigger for the cutoff to the high beams so when the headlights go high beam so do the fogs.

    I’ve got a tick...

So when my 6.9 leaked all the fuel in the crankcase after the IP failed, I had a tick when I put my new IP and injectors on. I was fearing my oil thinned out and I ruined something and had so much fuel over the top of the engine from changing everything over I didn't see my one injector leaking...

I can't help but be sad that we got this far but couldn't get an led insert put in there instead of halogen reflectors..

Is that the price for 1 or 2? Maybe I'm dumb but I don't see that listed anywhere

Turned my IP up 2 flats..

I haven't towed it yet but since it's not a 5th wheel and it sits further back I'm thinking with angle it's at it actually should. I'm more concerned about keeping it off the truck lol.

Turned my IP up 2 flats..

Yeah I don't mind it as much as I thought I would. It's actually easier to plumb underneath, I just used two holes that were already in the frame and put a 1/8 inch steel plate under the 90* bend where the stack sits and then put the exhaust hangers on.

Turned my IP up 2 flats..

So earlier in this thread I had mentioned about not liking all of the soot over the passenger side of the truck now that the truck smokes more powering its way up hills. My wife isn't going to like all the smoke all over the camper when we have to move it either and it's white and it's heavy so...

31 degrees and fired right up

Neither of mine started this morning because my wife parked me in in the garage and I had to drive the car.
