So.. once again ran into problems.
I ordered a eBay CHRA in August with my birthday money. Finally went to rebuild the turbo today and the new CHRA has a totally different size exhaust wheel in it. Now it's probably been to long to return it.
Guess that's what I get for trying to save a couple...
Ok, I've got the bed off and am replacing both fuel sender's with new ones purchased from Trexauto.
Question I have is, should I use the new showerheads that came with the sender's or get some fuel hose?
I've removed the front sender so far and the shower head is missing in the tank somewhere...
Finally got the pump off and shipped to Justin. Been slowly working on the bed and front clip swap. I got a new CHRA for the turbo. Took the turbo off today, had to lift the body to get it out.
With my fuel leak problem I've noticed my valley pan doesn't drain. Now that the turbo is off I...
Lots of older vehicles didn't have a 100,000th digit on the odometer. You just have to trust the guy that it only rolled over once.

Finally got the truck back home from the other property. Going to pull the IP and send it to R&D.
Appear to have blown a power steering line on the way home. Need to do some searching to find where exactly.
Finally found a fan shroud, shipped from Michigan, going to install that and the new...
The "as good as new" ones have been pop tested and matched. The new ones will need to be tested and possibly adjusted.

Don't have any helpful info, sorry. But, your crew cab has power rear windows? My 89 has power front and crank rear.

That's part of the problem. Justin said it would be at least two weeks before it would even possibly be looked at. I need the truck starting next Saturday for two weeks while I'm on vacation. I'm building a cabin.
I really have no available time this week either to tear into it. I'll probably...
Got a hold of Justin. He said his pump guy is off for two weeks. Told me to try to determine exactly where it's leaking and that it might be an o-ring I could just replace myself.
Now to try to find the leak. It leaks much worse when it's hot.

So... I guess I get to see how R&D's warranty service is. The pump is definitely leaking I can't tell where exactly but the plunger on the driver's side bottom seems to be the culprit. All the injector lines are completely dry. But the valley pan is full of fuel and it doused my undercarriage...
Got her licensed yesterday. Pressure washed it real good at work, it was really grungy. Have at least two oil leaks. One is the fuel pump block off plate. Other is passenger side rear, possibly valve cover.
Also have fluid (oil or fuel?) in the valley pan right below the IP. Need to take the...
Got her all back together yesterday and she's running great.
Boost guage still isn't working for some reason. I put a new air tube on it. The old one had oily sludge in the first few inches of it. I'm thinking the orifice in the intake snail may still be clogged.

I figured it out. I didn't have the magnetic pickup inserted all the way.
I was assuming since I was getting an rpm reading the magnet was working.
Currently set at 8.8. Gonna leave it there for now.

First pic is what it's stuck on. Second pic is I flipped the switch to timing light. Third is flipped switch back to magnetic and it wants me to set the offset again. If I push the set button it takes me back to the first pic.
Timings got to be close. It fires right up.
