    C6 Neutral Safety Switch Options

Yeah, after posting I remembered a time some jerk wouldn't turn down his brights, so I hit him with my two banks of KC offroad only lights, one set mid grill, one set on top of roll bar. It caused him to swerve to the side of the road and stop. I noticed the state trooper decal when he was...

    C6 Neutral Safety Switch Options

I took the "high tech" approach. Have it set to neutral, tied wrapped to the kick down linkage. Drove around the block, no issues. I'll at least get the break in done like this. All the gears work as they should, just won't get reverse lights, but a toggle switch will take care of that...

    C6 Neutral Safety Switch Options

The issue is timing the switch to the shift linkage that operates the valve body. When first pulling it for rebuild I marked P R and N on the switch, and used that to position the shifter. What I didn't think about was that I was laying on the ground with it on stands, looking up, slightly...

    C6 Neutral Safety Switch Options

Long story short I discovered the neutral switch is about 1/2 bolt off from the adjustment range. Was able to pull if off, manually set to park and start. I'm wondering if anyone knows about an aftermarket switch that has a little more adjustability. Thanks

Are those projectors? Where did you source? Thanks

So what did you do with your truck today?

Nice crimper, I usually get the max 2/0 or max 600 MCM ones, so I can repurpose welding cables. It's a lot cheaper than paying for 20' of new 1/0 when 20 year old 2/0 is even better conductor with more robust insulation. They all do 8-12 tons of force, just take notice when doing crimps, I...

So what did you do with your truck today?

Indeed, you are Blessed. Unfortunately I spent my entire life in the field, and am now cursed by the compulsion to delve deep into the dark forces until my last remaining brain cell from the 1970's is left quivering uncontrollably. I'm just thankful I'm not an actual diesel mechanic, it allows...

So what did you do with your truck today?

Appreciate the product link. I found the charger and splitter separately for a lot less, minus the steel plate they fabricate to make their kit. Really like the charger, but am a little concerned about the splitter. It's only rated for 15amps, so if the batteries aren't fully charged there's a...

    Someone go get it!!!

Seriously drooling over that, the generator/welder is worth the bid amount, then add a 2k crane. I'm busy getting rid of stuff, can't get more toys until after the move...

    Another charging problem...

If you have a meter that can read DC amps it will help immensely. Volts are only one of three facets. I found a decent cheap meter HERE for $29. With everything off you can check to see if there's something draining the battery while it's not in use, then you can check the amp output at idle and...

Did you delete the OEM proportioning valve since all 4 wheels are disk?

So what did you do with your truck today?

Looks like you cut the end off a 12AWG splitter and mounted to the W/P receptacle. Don't think I'm ready to cut a 1 1/2" hole in the body yet, but that's a perfect way to skip a lot of bs and simplify life. The block heater end is severely mucked up after decades of 10 amp use, been thinking...

    Tachometer Troubleshooting

I have a 7.3 E350 C6. After sitting for years got it running and discovered it was pulling very high amps with new batteries, broke a couple V belts and went down the wrong rabbit hole before getting to the correct diagnosis. Then realized it is wired differently. The harness had a stakon for...

How many of you guys are running a water separator?

I found a Racor 500 clone online for cheap, but it takes the Racor filters for easy replacement. That said, I had to remove the jack and fab a mount because it has a plastic bowl, and I didn't want to chance a rock destroying it if mounted on the frame rail next to the Holly Red. Haven't found...

    Gunson 7708 Timing Adaptor

Exactly my point, if I'm reading that code correctly it was made 1st quarter of 1986, or 1st of 1980. Probably never used, but I don't know if I could register for their warranty. I'm probably overthinking it. One of the other ebay vendors made me an offer dropping it down to $215.

    Gunson 7708 Timing Adaptor

Could be. I went to to the DTI website to make sure the unit I'm thinking of buying would be covered and read this: "The battery is low draw, but the display is always ON and the battery life is being used up. Use the label to estimate the age". Then realized they were talking about the Tiny...

    Gunson 7708 Timing Adaptor

Have you had any issues with operation? There's batteries installed that have a constant drain, are those easily replicable? DTI only honors the warranty if purchased through them, or an authorized dealer. There's a ebay vendor that offered a nice discount, but I doubt DTI would honor the sale...

    Gunson 7708 Timing Adaptor

The vacuum made my ears pop as I'm getting sucked deeper into all things diesel..lol That said, isn't the transducer with adjustable timing light more accurate than a tach, or, is the tach unit used for other purposes, like calibration, and how important is that? I do have a decent timing light...

Surface mount hitch receiver on front bumper to carry bikes?

Those KX's kick butt when taken care of. I owned a company back then, and was able to write it off for advertising after changing the graphics. Had the suspension lowered, got a Trail Tech GPS, installed heated grips, custom built a sequential switchback LED lighting system and got it plated...

Surface mount hitch receiver on front bumper to carry bikes?

It's a '18 TE250i, it was one of the first 100 fuel injected 2 stroke wave. Got it 12/17, didn't want to wait until mid '19 for the 300's to start to ship. Haha, All I read was bike, the only bikes I know go vroom..

Surface mount hitch receiver on front bumper to carry bikes?

Before my hobby turned into a full blown addiction I used receiver hitch bike racks to get to the track or back country. It's carried the Husqvarna dirt bike and Suzuki road racer through all kinds of weather and roads. Don't have any pictures of a bike on the front receiver with camper hooked...

    1990 F250 4x4 Diesel E40D transmission mount bolts size?

I forgot if they're 1 1/2" or 2", but definitely 1/2" x 13TPI bolts. Just guessed when I got new hardware and got 2 1/2" long, then had to use a couple head bolt washers for spacers.
